Q: Hi,
I was fortunate enough to be invested in UPST when the stock took off last week sometime.
Today, the closing of the financing was announced, it was apparently a pricing of the convertible senior notes.
Can I please get your general take on the company and the financing?

Q: I would appreciate your opinion on the Bit Coin craze. I feel that it is important to be involved in but as a retail investor safety is very important and I am considering BTCC for my investment. So far this company has proven very reliable as I have other investments with them. So, is this a good start into Bit or can you provide better alternatives. Thanks James

Q: Hi 5i team.

Given the recent SEC statements re: china listings in the US, and the continued Chinese Gov't crack down on swaths of sectors, specifically Tech., what would your advice be with investments that are China related. Is there a safer way to play this via ETF vs trying to pick winners and losers? Or do I just sit and watch as this unfolds.

Q: Can you recommend a few ETFs that have good exposure to US industrials and materials? Preferably in a single security if there is one, but separately is fine as well. I'm indifferent as to whether it is a CDN ETF listed in Canada or USD ETF listed on a US exchange.

Q: Can you please comment about the Mawer funds Which are the top 3 or four? Which are better for a non-registered account, and is there one you recommend for a TFSA? I don't have a long time horizon, being 76, but am open to some risk (and reward), Is there another mutual fund company in Canada you can recommend that sells diversified holdings in Europe and the US? I'd like some holdings that aren't usually found in ETFs that are good value. Thanks for all your help.

Q: In your answer to Dan today, you rated the desirability of holding stock for a 5 year + period. You show NVEI and MAGT as 8 and KXS as 6. While all three are expected to show good year over year earnings growth the analysts high target price for KXS is $288, up 60% while the high for NVEI is $169, up 30%.
Just looking for your thoughts on what would suggest a higher rating for NVEI and MAGT.

Q: Leon's pays a regular dividend of $0.16/share/quarter and has also announced a special dividend of $1.25, both effective Sept 08/21 (DOR).

All else being equal, my understanding is that on the ex-div date the share price should drop $0.16 due to the regular dividend. Is the same true for the special dividend....in other words should we expect the share price to drop $1.25 as well?
