Q: The fixed income portion of our portfolio includes XBB@15% and ZIC at 6%. Portfolio analytics is suggesting fixed income assets @40%. I am not keen on adding more bonds and would be comfortable at 30% in FI. Can you suggest 1-2 alternatives for someone entering retirement?
Q: Relative to payment methods for the purchase of goods, bank sponsored debit and credit cards employ intermediaries such as VISA or Master Card.
This appears to be increasingly disrupted by tech companies that are not financial companies themselves, however I understand, have a bank in the background.
My question is: If I own VISA should I also consider owning PAYPAL or other to take advantage of the tech side of things thus giving my self a barbell approach? This is not a question on VISA or PAYPAL but on the benefits of investing in the new entities that seem to be appearing in the financial payment system.
Thanks

How do you view their prospects going forward. Is this a good entry point on a very small mkt cap company
Q: Looking to invest in a company that is strong in the production of commercial and industrial drones. Pls give me your opinion on Irobot, and suggest others
Q: What are some of your favourite founder led growth companies that you would be comfortable investing in today (US and CAN)? I just finished the Motley Fool Investment Guide by David and Tom Gardner, and they are big on that component. Would you generally agree with them?
Thanks

Q: AVP, although apparently profitable, seems in very dire straits with their high (though improving) debt levels, etc. Can they survive and what is your estimation of its potential value?
Q: just a comment but EIF market cap is 1.5 billion not 3.3 billion as 5i implied so the
acquisitions just announced represent closer to 7% rather than 3.3% of the company.
Q: I am looking to increase my energy exposure, and I am debating between a more senior producer, such as Suncor, or looking for greater torque to oil prices, such as Tamarack or Athabasca. I was wondering about your thoughts on the matter, including whether you feel that energy producers have more runway, or if the energy sector has reached something closer to full value. This would be a smaller position, no more than 2% of portfolio, so I can afford to take on some risk for the opportunity for growth. Thanks again, and I look forward to reading your thoughts.
Q: Hi
Thank you for your insights. It has been very helpful grow my portfolio so that is balanced and diversified. I have about $10000 that I would like to invest in mostly growth stocks with a 10-year horizon. Its possible I will have additional funds to add in the next couple of years. I would like to keep this separate from my larger portfolio. My risk profile is medium to aggressive for these stocks. Are there others I should be interested in as well? I am looking to purchase 4 stocks. What would your suggestion be based on growth and risk/reward?
