Q: Good afternoon. Today, in answering a question comparing Uber and ISRG, you implied that Uber was a cyclical company (or at least that is how I understood your answer). But I don't understand how or why Uber would be considered cyclical. Can you clarify?

Q: Looking at both UBER and ISRG. Please rate them for both growth and risk on a scale of 1-10 (10 being high) and indicate your favourite of the two if purchased today with reasons why. Thank you.
Q: Hi,
Which one of the three would you expect to bounce back in the short term. Any one of them that you would not invest in?
Regards

Also would appreciated 3 more us stocks you would recommend that are not expensive. So many have gone up and are now near the top. Please provide me with best of breed US companies that still have room to run.

Q: What do you make of the Financial Times report that Uber (UBER-N) explored a possible bid for Expedia? Would this be good for Uber stock price….even though it is down this morning?
Q: Hello,
Uber and CRWD have grown nicely to reach levels of 10%+ in my portfolio. I know that you cannot personalize but so my question is whether a prudent move with companies like these are to let them run completely or pare down to a comfortable number. If lightening is preferred, what would be optimal? If one or the other is safer to keep at a high % please feel free to answer separately for each.

Q: Hello 5i,
NVDA is our largest position. GOOGL is 2nd and AAPL is 5th . With potential headwinds for GOOGL (except for Waymo) and AAPL (lower sales and China bs), would it be prudent to trim a full position of GOOGL and/or AAPL to a ¾ or ½ position and reallocate funds to other stocks?
We have a few options for those funds. Sector allocation is not important.
Increase positions in 1 or 2 of: CROX, ASPN, TMDX, CLBT, UBER, AMD, AVGO
Add new positions in 1 or 2 of: CECO, CRM, SMCI, VRT, SNOW, AAON, BKNG
Thank you

Q: Thoughts on investing in Serve Robotics (SERV: Q) as a complement to UBER, with potentially greater upside, for investing in robotic delivery systems.
Q: Hi Folks,
Your opinion please, I would like to add one of VRT, UBER or ISRG to my taxable account. Looking for growth with not to much volatility. Which one would you recommend at this time and why.
Thanks

Q: I am rewording a question I recently submitted in the hopes of satisfying 5i's evident concerns with regard to liability.
Theoretically speaking, if YOUR tech holdings were about 19% and included LMN, MSFT, NVDA and UBER...and if YOU held an additional 18% in 'tech like' stocks such as GOOG, AMZN, and VRT....would you personally consider yourself to be overweight, underweight or nicely balanced in terms of your personal tech holdings? Thank you.

Q: In response to a recent question, you had suggested an appropriate portfolio weighting for the tech sector would be 20-30%. Strictly speaking, I hold about 19% tech ( LMN 4.5%, MSFT 5.55%, NVDA 6.5% and UBER 2%). That said, I also hold an additional 17.6% of what I would consider 'tech-like' stocks: GOOG 5%, AMZN 6.75%, and VRT 5.85%. Would you suggest I am overweight, underweight or nicely balanced in terms of my tech holdings? By way of context, I would describe my investment style as risk-managed growth. Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i,
I am looking for growth. If I can only have one which do you believe has the most potential? NVO for its incredible weight loss drugs or Uber now that it has dominated the car-hailing business.
Thanks
David

Q: In May 2024 you answered a question rewarding building a portfolio of US stock: Q: Suppose our extraterrestrial friend, Blaarg, seeks to diversify their portfolio by investing in the U.S. market. Which 12-15 top U.S. stocks would you recommend for them over the next decade? Thanks

5i Research Answer:
Here are some of the high-quality US names with moderate risks and reasonable valuations that we think investors could do well by owning a basket of these names over the long term. Although these may not the the best winners, we think these could be considered as compounders such as BKNG, ULTA, AXON, ABNB, UBER, ADBE, FI, ODFL, HEI, AZO, ORLY, ARES.
Would your answer be the same today. If not, what would be your list today? Thanks

Q: Just bought UBER and down 5% after my first week. Not an auspicious start! Can you please provide estimates for growth over the next 12, 18 and 24 months? Also list some of the key drivers that will either propel or hinder UBER's growth during this time and indicate the likelihood of each. Thank you.
Q: Contemplating buying into VRT or Uber for a three to five year hold. Which would you suggest and why?
Q: Has UBER run it's course for now or is there still a lot of room for growth?
