Q: Retired investor with no new money coming in. I have a larger position in QQQ and a small position in VMO. I would like to sell QQQ and move the funds into VMO. I also hold large positions in VFV and RSP and understand there is some overlap with QQQ. Would you endorse such a move or would it be prudent to split the funds equally between the two?

Q: With all of the fear around software being made obsolete due to AI, are there any particular businesses that you might see as being inappropriately oversold in this mass sell-off? I’m specifically wondering about TOST, as it seems that because it is so integrated into restaurant ecosystems, this would be hard to replace with AI… any thoughts on this? Many thanks.

Q: I have read an opinion that Bitcoin may have run its course and I assume this would apply to other crypto currencies as well. Could you comment on how widespread this feeling is. Do you feel that there is a case to be made for the sector or might it be best just to exit and move on to something else.
Also how many crypto currencies are there - my knowledge in this area is weak.
My only holding in this sector is Galaxy (as far as I know). Does it have other components to its business that might carry it through if the crypto sector continued to falter or even collapse.
Thanks.

A few days ago I asked for 5 CAD and US value stocks. Thanks for that.
You mentioned that there are others that you like in the space but did not fit the criteria. Would you please share think names.

Thanks and have a great day.

Q: Hello and thank you for all of your great work last week as we all navigated the flurry of earnings, particularly as it related to the big tech names.

I have been hearing more and more about Anthropic, and how much more potential it may have over the long term versus OpenAI. Some have suggested that comparing the two names now is like what happened ~ 25 years ago when there were comparisons being made about Netscape and HP. We all know who won that “battle”. But many commentators are suggesting that the entity that goes after “enterprise” will ultimately prevail - this is what happened with HP. And the entity that goes after consumer/retail will ultimately fail - this is what happened with Netscape. Some have even suggested that with the most recent funding round of OpenAI, where valuation is predicted to be ~ $850 billion, that this may in fact be the high water mark, and that it may very well be downhill from here.

So - my questions are as follows - (i) Who do you prefer longer term, OpenAI or Anthropic? And (ii), would you be concerned about MSFT with respect to the significant investment it has already made in OpenAI?

Q: Good Morning
With all the increases in Capex spending what specific stocks do you see as benefitting short and long term? This might seem like an obvious question but with all the negative momentum it needs asking. Thank you
