Q: I have held CVS for approx. 6 months and virtually it is flat. There have been many recommendations from the street however I have 22,000.00 which seems to be dead money. Should I sell and buy some tech stock like Oracle or Taiwan semiconductor. Do you have a suggestion other than these 2?

My nephew turned 18 last year and has now 11K in his TFSA ready to invest.
What would be your suggestion (s). It can be a mix of CDN and USD stocks/ETFs.
Obviously, it would be several years before needing any of the money so some risk can be taken.

Q: Question regarding Google's announcement of changes to third party cookies and your thoughts on the potential benefits this may bring for some companies. I know its affecting companies like TTD but wouldnt ROKU benefit because they have their own ecosystem and can see what people watch, search for etc. or a company like FB who can see status's, conversations, group posts about products people still share so much information plus instagram (sharing info between the two). Or a PINS who again has its own ecosystem and can use that data to sell ads on its own site... hope this makes sense.

Also as of right now with the further rotation out of growth, what are your top 5 "buy now" companies that you *could* see rebounding quite nicely when the dust settles.

Could you please provide 8-10 companies, preferably in the US that are in the AI and machine learning category and that you think have great technology and a large potential market? No need for in depth analysis so you can keep it brief. I'm looking for a place to start more in depth research. Much appreciated!

PS - I sent a question in awhile back that is probably still in queue as it asked for info on 6 companies that are not mainstream. No rush but please let me know if you didn't get it.

Q: Portfolio Analytics suggests I need to increase my U.S. holdings and communication services allocations as it current says I have no comm. services. 2 part question to help address this gap in my portfolio (feel free to take 2 credits):
1) I currently hold TTD. Do you consider TTD a communication service? Your platform labels it as technology (software) whereas BMO Investorline labels it a comm. service.
2) Can you please provide me with your favorite 3-5 U.S. names in communication services (in order) that you would start a position in today. This would be bought in either my TFSA or RRSP. I am a younger investor that has 20+ years until retirement (defined benefits pension) so would be focusing on growth. A dividend is not a requirement.

I have scanned past answers to look for names you have mentioned recently (somen noted above) but there was never a focused question on just communication services.

Q: HI 5i Team. I really appreciate your comments that speak to opportunities/areas or perhaps "themes" where you currently see good growth opportunities now and in the coming years. Some commentators have pointed to themes such as EV and materials that support EV, clean tech generally, changes in healthcare, etc. What would you consider to be some of the better investing themes right now (say 3 or 4?) and what would some of your suggestions right now for some good Canadian and good US stock selections within each, with growth in mind over a roughly 5 year horizon in a TFSA. I already have positions in LSPD, WELL, XBC and QST, and I plan to acquire AZT next. So I would be interested in hearing about your ideas and suggestions that might provide some additional diversification into other areas. Thanks very much - take as many question credits as necessary.
