Q: Interesting news from Shopify re: opening fulfillment centers in the U.S. ($1 Billion over 5 years). I see this as more directly competing with AMZN, whom I thought they were friendly with.
I own SHOP but I'm honestly not too sure how dependant they are on AMZN for their business. Here on 5i it's been mentioned that they have a serious relationship, but I've never seen it quantified...are you able to share how much of SHOPs business is from AMZN (based on revenue, EPS or other) and what specifically their partnership is?
With this news and within a year or two I'm guessing SHOP will either be dropped by AMZN or bought out.

Q: Today Shopify made couple of announcements, one of them is all new platform of "shopify plus" which will be faster, more intuitive and more scalable point of sale (POS) software which is the main business for LSPD. Given the size of shopify, it seems this roll out will create heardwinds for LSPD. Your thoughts on this matter please. Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, Great to be back on this platform after a number of years. Thank you for the great work you and team are doing. Apart from LSPD, what other 2 to 3 companies do you think have little or no debt and have a great growth profile like LSPD or even better? Thank you,
Q: Hi All at 5i! You have been fielding a lot of questions about Shopify already, so here is one more. I have seen a large value increase in this stock in my TFSA. In your opinion and considering a long term view, do you think the stock has the potential to grow even more? And if so , if you had to speculate, how high might you think it could go ( I realize this involves crystal ball gazing.) Cheers, Tamara

Q: Has insider selling increased since the runup in price for Shopify? If so, is this a concern?

Q: What is happening to Shopify today?
Q: Shopify has continued to record new highs almost every week. Do you think the fundamentals and growth potential support this or is it moving because it is a very popular stock. I have sold half my position and am wondering if it is time to sell the rest. Thank you.
Q: Would you suggest trading GOOG for SHOP for a long term hold?
Q: I’m certainly not complaining but Shopify has be so strong this year, can you provide any insight? Do you see this momentum continuing? Amazon seems now to be limiting the number of smaller sized vendors, is this a big plus for Shop?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Hi the great 5i team, it seems that meeting estimates move stock prices up or down after quarterly report. Are there stocks in your portfolios that beat estimates 3 or more out of 4 times ?

Q: Please comment on the impact of recent US China tariff & Huawei development on these stocks. Which will suffer long term adverse effect ? Most come down a lot on May 20. Thanks a lot.
Q: I'm a little late to the party on SHOP as it has already had quite the run-up. On a go forward basis would you still recommend initiating a position at these levels? I can buy US or CAD is there a difference which to buy?

Q: I hold 5 Growth Portfolio 5iR position as noted above.....that I've held for some time.
I've decided to fold them into my Income and Balance Portfolios rather than track the group separately. The reason is to better manage the position weightings. Although these 5 are more growth-er positions, I'm really more a 70/30 balance/income investor...and closely follow the 5iR positions and weightings.
Now for my question - what weightings would you give each of ECN and GSY in an income portfolio, and also for each of DOL, OTEX, PEO and SHOP in a balanced portfolio?
.......again, thanks for your guidance......Tom
