Q: I’ve finally broken even on NVDA. Their Q4 comes out later this month and I’m nervous since it’s up substantially from the dramatic low in October. Any disappointments and it will probably be hit hard.

If you owned NVDA what would you do? Ride out the report and hold on or sell, watch the reaction and reassess?

Q: If 5i had 3 US model portfolios (income, balanced, and growth), which model portfolio(s) would you put NVDA into and what weighting would you currently have it around or where would you start trimming? Would you consider it one of those ones where you let it keep running as a winner and trim it along the way (e.g., year to date of 30+%)?

Q: I'm primarily a growth investor with a tolerance for risk. I do not have any semi-conductor companies in my portfolio. I was considering AMD or NVDA but I'm not wondering if AEHR might be good play to consider since it does chip testing. It does seem to be growing revenue quickly and surprising the market with it's earnings. What comments/advice do you have wrt to how I should think about the chip players including the high tech testing play that AEHR offers? Thanks!

Q: I own all of the above US Tech, except ROKU. I was interested in your answer yesterday regarding potential growth for ROKU, all things going well. Amoung these companies, is there anything you would sell to move into ROKU? Q: It's time to add to my TFSA. I own ADBE, GOOG, AAPL, NVDA, PYPL, QCOM, CRM and TOL in this account, where longterm growth is the investment objective. Should any of these be switched? Please recommend replacements if so and ignore sector/market cap considerations. I wish to add to either NVDA or PYPL, which of these should I add to? Deduct as many credits as required. Q: Hi,
Of this list do any of these names have concerns and if so, what might they be? Are there any you would wish to wait longer before buying? Any you do not think appropriate buys in this market? Others you feel are more compelling? If you were to buy these, in what order would you do so? I know - lots of questions - feel free to deduct accordingly! My preference is for stability of future earnings, lower or no debt and the dividend is a bit of a bonus, but not something to rely on. Many thanks!

Q: Happy New Year to all at 5i.

It's time to once again figure out how to invest this year's TFSA contribution in my growth orientated portfolio. Like most Canadians, I probably have quite a home country bias so I thought for 2023 I would look at US companies available through CDRs to avoid currency conversion expenses. (I do already own GOOGL, CRWD & PINS). I wonder if you can suggest 3 or 4 USA growth companies that are available as CDRs.
