Q: There was a question yesterday by Dave about buying US currency.
One option to avoid the fees that banks charge for the exchange is to buy Horizons DLR.CA and then journal it over to your US account (DLR.U.CA).
You still pay the exchange rate and maybe trading fees (depending on your brokerage) but you save the bank fee.

Q: Eqb has done very well since U recommendation,but recently dropped off. In general the big 6 Can Banks had put aside lots of Provision for Credit Loss(PCL).How much did Eqb allocate pcl?In my humble opinion it is likely higher than the big 6 as it is basically a secondary mortgage lender.Add,Hold or Sell.Please comment. Q: Now that I discovered that RBC has opened its direct investing accounts to high interest saving ETFs, I am interested in moving the cash portion of my portfolio. HSAV is interesting because of the capital gains tax advantage. However I noticed that it has been fairly volatile in the last few weeks - swinging by almost 1% in a single day. That is more volatility than I would’ve expected from an investment that primarily holds bank savings accounts that reprice daily. Is there something else going on here?
