Q: Todays news rerelease mentions EGLX as one of the active members in sports gambling. I don't see the connection. What is there main revenue stream. The last news release was about online gambling exploding. EGLX was part of a group to benefit from this. In what way does this benefit them. What is their main revenue source.

Q: As a follow up to my last question on PINS, what names do you think are most attractive on this tech selloff considering a mix of quality/growth (like a middle ground of ones that been seemingly oversold but also are quality names that can weather a storm).

Would PINS be high on that list? What are 3 others? Any info on their valuations/growth prospects is appreciated!

Thank you!

Q: Hi - what would be your current thoughts on these two companies in terms of buy/hold/sell in the current market/economic environment. Pls add a quick comment as to "why". Disregard objectives/diversification/etc.

Q: Hi, There are lots of high growth companies out there with little or no free cash flow. Growth investors accept this because these companies invest aggressively in their own growth, development, market position, etc.

While it's understandable that high growth companies focus on their own growth now, presumably they will eventually need to switch to other forms of capital allocation. I am wondering if you have any insight into how much confidence we should have in which of these management teams will act in the best interest of shareholders when the time comes to maximize shareholder value via other forms of capital allocation. For example, if a company reaching maturity throws most of their resources into R&D despite diminishing returns it would not be in our best interest.

I realize the answer to this isn't completely knowable, so also interested in your general thoughts on this topic.
Thanks

Q: Looks to me that it's time to start looking in the 'bargain bin' for some heavily discounted companies. I like to find good solid companies that have been taken down with the market but through no fault of their own. They also are so good at running their businesses that I need to wait for times like these to purchase them. I'm an investor who can accept medium risk and dividends are always welcome. Please focus on Canadian companies.

Q: Favorite (hammered) growth stock that pays a divy? Bit of bottom-fishing for a long term hold. Thanks Ron

Q: At this time, what are your top picks (5 CDN, 5 US) for a 3-5 year hold in a registered account for an investor willing to take on an above average level of risk (but not high)? Sector does not matter. Thanks.

Q: Hi Team,
I am an aggressive investor, which paid off lovely in 2020, but now am being crushed. I hold the following stocks (with weightings in brackets) in total in my brokerage accounts. Could you have a quick look and tell me how this basket looks "In general"? And if you see this basket doing well over the longer term (say 5-10yr hold), pointing out any suggested changes you would make, if any are "sells" or worth switching out. Note that if I sell any GSY it would incur tax (the weighting is large because the position has grown and have been a firm believer in the company as its valuation still looks cheap and am collecting a nice div off it as well). I am 42yrs old so retirement is a ways away and my goal is maximum returns with reasonable risk until retirement. Please deduct credits as required. Thanks

Q: Hi,
Currently holding these three positions at a loss >50% each and they are less than 1% position now. What do I do with each? From reading previous comments, I think you still like EGLX and AT and would give them more time? Would you top up slightly to 1% or not average down on them now?
How about XBC? Is this one on a short leash and thoughts about about swapping to ANRG for better growth potential going forward? All 3 being held mostly in TFSA. Thank you!

Q: In your opinion, is it too late to get out of the higher valuation stocks like SHOP, CROWD, UNITY, APPS, CELH etc.? With 3-4 rate hikes coming possibly, would I be better off in the lower multiples like banks? Or is most of the damage already done?

Q: I am constantly mystified by the stock market. SHOP dropped 8 % today on no news. As far as I can see there was very little volume (282,000) shares. My question is why would anyone sell these shares at 8% less today than yesterday when there is no news. What possible reason would there be? SHOP is currently the 2nd largest company in Canada. They provide a internet service for people trying to do business on-line. They have had consecutively better and better quarters. They have a very discernable moat. They have a huge future market. I can't see the downside, at least for the foreseeable future. For me it is like someone selling their Apple shares in 2007 because they felt the iphone wasn't going to succeed. My question is: why do people sell shares in profitable companies, at huge losses?

Q: The company issued guidance for 2022 and 2023. This stock seems undervalued and I don't see any analyst coverage. What company would be a good comparable company?
