Q: Is it possible to update the Stock Screen you did in your Blog of 24 June 2019 for Stocks that Pay Monthly Dividends, including the Excel File?
Excellent screen for income investors but also those who seek Growth with some Income.

Q: Hi 5i,
Please help me understand something. Was the recent substantial run up in LIF's price since mid June followed by today's substantial decline of over 6% all attributable to the special dividend of $1.75 that was announced on June 15 with an ex-date of today? Are there those out there who chase dividend payouts even if it means putting up 40K to realize 1.75K, while also assuming the risk that the stock might head south?
If so, is there anything to be learned about LIF's future prospects from the recent dividend driven activity and, if not dividend driven, what else might have caused such a decline today? For such a pricey stock it seems pretty volatile.
Thanks for your insight.

Q: Hello Team,
I have held BLK and MCO for about 1 1/2 years and my total returns as of now, are 83% and 77%, respectively. I have a feeling that the easy money has already been made on these 2 stocks and therefore should put my money on something else.
May I please have your comments on these companies going forward and your thoughts on what I plan on doing, would be appreciated.
Cheers,
H

Avantis International Small Cap Value ETF (AVDV $81.24)
Q: Hi Team,
I am interested in diversifying my portfolio into small cap value ETFs in the U.S. and outside the U.S. With respect to the above, I am considering investing in VIOV and AVDV. Are there other ETFs that you would recommend that I should look into with respect to small cap value ETFs in the U.S. and outside the U.S.
Thanks
George

Q: I am holding this in a taxable account. Very happy with recent large gains and wondering whether to sell part in order to take some profits soon or to just let it ride for the long term, bearing in mind tax consequences. .
Q: Good day - May I have your review of this US REIT including safety of dividend, debt, growth potential, occupancy, risks or other concerns. Is it a good holding if we have more inflation and would you buy here based on valuation. Input always appreciated. Ken
Q: I have a small position in Aterian in a growth focused non registered account. With the recent pullback in price I am wondering about adding. What do you think of this company and its prospects?
Q: How do you go about calculating annualized returns on a stock that you've purchase across multiple dates? For example, in my portfolio I purchase PLTR 3 times, at 3 different prices. Questrade calculates a weighted total return using a weighted cost per share. However, the % just represents the absolute return to date. If I try to annualize this, can I do it without having to use each individual transaction date? Similar to the weighted cost per share, could I do the same calculation for the hold period? Any guidance or resources you could provide would be helpful here, as I've found online resources lacking in this general area.
Thanks!
Marc
Thanks!

Q: Hi. I’m writing in response to Andrew’s earlier question regarding whether or not he needs to report BEP.UN on his T1135. I’d looked into this earlier this year for BEPC, BIPC, BIP.UN and BEP.UN. Brookfield’s web site addresses this specifically. Below is the link, and direct quote.

“Are units considered foreign property for the purposes of the Canada Revenue Agency T-1135 Form – Foreign Income Verification Statement?
No.”
Hope this assists.

Q: Hi 5i Team,
Can I please get your thoughts on NBLY and DNTL? I own a little of both and was thinking about adding to one (or both). NBLY's Q4 looked good to me but do you like one more than the other?
Thanks
Dave

I will appreciate your comments on the Convertible debenture MR.DB.B.
If not suitable for a conservative investor, do you recommend any other convertible debenture?

Q: Thank you for providing such an unparalleled service. Your cost increases are minimal.
My question is about diversification in my RRSP which consists of mostly high quality growth stocks (GOOGL, VISA, NIKE, ACN, NVIDIA, etc.) I am however, under-represented in Canadian stocks which include BAM, SHOPIFY, IFC, FSV, & BIP.UN. My goal is to build up my Canadian portfolio in this RSP.
I am well represented in Tech, Consumers, disc, & health care with my US holdings. Can you recommend 10 Canadian stocks that I could add for the long term to balance out my portfolio? I am deficient in financial, materials & industrials. Or to apply the Occam's razor, should I just buy and accumulate XIC over time.
Many thanks

Q: Can I have your analysis on this company? Would you add into a growth portfolio for a 3+ year hold?
