Q: Understandably Real Estate cos. are not prominent in the minds of investors these days and in Canada they are under alot of pressure but am wondering if CAR.UN is a screaming BUY for one who is willing to wait through a couple more years of AI craze?

It shows CAR.UN book Value at $56.00 per share whilst price today is $39.00. Am already a holder of Minto which i earlier saw Book Value of $29.00 but yr site shows a P/B value of 1.06 so not sure about that number.

These companies may carry alot of debt but wondering yr thoughts on the opportunity here on these reits and the relative risks of each as a 3 year investment?

Q: I am thinking of selling my bonds for an an international (ex-North-America) ETF that is fairly non-volatile (defensive, consumer cyclical, industrial).

I heard this as a strategy in the Canadian Financial Summit and it made sense because the bonds I've held for stability offer less in returns and in stability than the diversification does.

I'd like to hear your opinion on this strategy. Can you also recommend 4-5 ETFs that would play well into this strategy.

Thanks as always.

Q: All the Constellation Software and related Co's had a really bad day in the markets, Wednesday, with stocks trading at new near term lows, ( Down 6-10%, in a single session ), breaking below their recent support levels.

Not sure, if some of this selling could be assigned to algorithm trading ( stop loss orders) ?

You have been a huge supporter of the stocks, and for good reasons, through the recent selling ( AI concerns and M Leonard departure related ), even highlighting CSU, as one of your Best trading ideas,

Based on your comments and most analyst ratings, these concerns are overblown and stocks should recover, in due course, as, apparently, nothing has fundamentally changed and business is as usual. However, market seems to think otherwise and price action has just been horrible.

While some investors are probably selling not to lose their built in profits over years, there could be others harvesting tax losses.

Interestingly, it is noted that these stocks generally have a bad day when AI related Companies are enjoying a nice bump, like Today ( Wednesday). And AI related boom is likely to continue to drive the markets, at least in the foreseeable future.

We are in the camp of concerned investors, with significant embedded gains in these companies, as early investors, and are worried, if we should liquidate our positions, at least partially ( half or 1/3rd ), to protect our gains. What are your thoughts ?

It looks like that a string of catalysts is needed to infuse life back into the three stocks ( specially CSU ). What could these be, in your opinion and how long would you recommend for investors to be patient ?

Thank You

Q: Good Morning

With the forecasted and continued large Capex expenditures of Meta, Google and Microsoft what companies do you see as benefitting the most? I am a bit surprised at the premarket direction of some of the obvious choices.
Thank you

Q: Hello Everyone,

May I have your take on Apple and Amazon earnings please. Market seems to like them.

Also was the Microsoft sell off after earnings yesterday to some degree because the stock was priced to perfection?

Thank you.

Q: Greetings 5i, a combination of these 2 companies was announced along with release of preliminary results (Q4 & FY 2025 for Skyworks; Q2 2026 for Qorvo). Referencing your response to my last question on Skyworks Oct 20th, please update your analysis of future growth prospects for the combined entity. Would you add, hold or sell Skyworks (I had not yet gotten around to exiting my position)? The last question on Qorvo was in 2022. Thank you.
