Q: I'm curious your thoughts on the threat Redfin presents to Real Matters. In Redfin's investor presentation they mention their "Title Forward" service is part of their long term goal to provide a "Complete Solution" to a homebuyer. Do you think RDFN will begin to eat REAL's lunch by being in contact with a buyer earlier in the home buying process?
Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Q: Can you suggest any stocks (non tech) US and/or Canadian, which looks attractive from a capital growth perspective for a TFSA for the long term? Does anything look attractive after tax loss? Thanks. Shyam

Q: hello 5i:
You were recently asked a question about which stock would be your first purchase if you were a fund manager and you chose CRWD. A different type of question: you are now the fund manager of a Canadian Income fund: what would be your first purchase? If the answer is different, what would be your first purchase for a stock that would act more like a GIC, but with a better yield?

Q: What do you think of hutl as a income play ?
Q: I think that our move toward electric as well as autonomous cars might happen a lot sooner than we ever expected. Betting on one stock is probably not the way to go ( although Tesla has done well). I have been looking for an ETF and found DRIV which trades on the Nasdaq. Would you consider this a good choice for some exposure to the sector or is there another that would be better.
Q: Would it be a good time to buy Tesla? Even a small amount?

Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT $695.26)
-
TD Global Technology Leaders Index ETF (TEC $49.30)
Q: Could you provide some insight into the effect of Tesla joining Nasdaq on Friday is likely to have on above ETF's and Tech stocks in general and the reason thereof. Thank you.

Richards Packaging Income Fund (RPI.UN $33.00)
Q: I have had a good run in the past several years with RPI.UN but it seems to have floundered recently. Would you recommend a switch to TCL.A? If not, would you have a better choice?
Q: What are your thoughts on the gold sector with the recent retreat Good entry point .Thank you
Q: I am considering selling OVV at a considerable loss and replacing it with Whitecap for the 30 day tax loss. At that time I will compare the progress of the 2 stocks to decide whether to stay with WCP or move back to OVV. I’m inclined to think I should stay with WCP as they have a good dividend and I already have some shares. I would not be overweight in WCP. Is there a different oil stock you would suggest instead of WCP?
Thanks for your always great advise.
John
What do you think of my strategy and what are your thoughts on the 2 companies.

Q: Two weeks ago I asked the following question below.
Can you please confirm that you meant Trane Technologies and not The Trade Desk. I know that the Trade Desk seems to be one of your favourites. Thank you.
Question:
We are looking to adds some US positions to our TFSA. We currently have AMD, DAL, DOCU, BRK-B, and ROKU. Could you suggest 5 growth names for long term holds that you would feel comfortable entering new positions in today? And would you add to ROKU at present? Thanks in-advance.
Answer:
We still like ROKU and thing it can move more. But we would keep weighting/risk in mind. It is the type of stock that moves quickly (both ways). We would suggest: CRWD, NVDA, VEEV, U, TT
