Q: With more and more US states moving to legalize marijuana I feel it is just a matter of time before that is done at the federal level. I have a large position in these 3 names. I assume they will shift from big tobacco to big marijuana once it is legalized. I think there is big growth potential here. Would you agree with that assessment? Would there be something that could stop this from happening ie government not allowing these big players to dominate that industry?

Q: Greetings. This company is in the same industry as Zoetis I'm told but is cheaper on valuation and obviously lessor known. You haven't been asked about this one so could you provide any thoughts you might have on it including whether you would recommend a position in it and your view of holding it versus a position in Zoetis. Q: Hi 5i
First time, Itrade has issued me a T5008 slip reporting around 30 ITEMS I bought/sold
indicating amounts for box-20 (book Value) and box-21 (Proceeds) .
I’ going to make up some numbers here for this example: Totals for
BOX20 = 500K , BOX21 = 650K , Gain = 150K .
I CASHED 90K, the other 60K was reinvested in the same
account. I should be taxed only in 90K?
I should only declare in my TAX return 90K ? correct?

Q: Long term holder of CGI in RSP account, and although it’s performed decent enough, I’m looking for more growth. Which of DSG or ENGH would you recommend switching to, or would 1/2 position in both make more sense?

Q: There are many questions that ask you to rank a number of different companies. Do you have a consistent approach to ranking when answering questions. For e.g Your preferred choice to your least preferred (i.e. best to worst) or from your least preferred to most preferred (i.e. worst to best)? Thanks.

I currently hold a half position in PENN which is down about 21% .
Should i add more to PENN or take on a new position in EGLX or sell PENN and focus more on a full position of EGLX , or hold some of both ?

Given CRTC 's announcement to allow small wireless carriers to piggyback on Big 3 networks..
How do you view the short term affect on the group especially on BCE share price?
In your opinion would you be interested entering a position at this time ( for income and long term growth) or would you expect a short term pullback?
Position/weighting size considering existing 3% position in rogers.

Q: Hi 5i,
WDO- Wesdome Gold Mines announced announced positive drilling results from a new high grade gold discovery at the Company's 100% owned Kiena Mine Complex in Val d'Or, Quebec.
I understand the company has operational cost issues but would this news be sufficient to encourage exisiting shareholder to continue to hold or sell into the current run up. Currenttly down -30%
How do you view companies future prospects?

Q: I have 5.5% of my net worth invested in FNV, CNQ, and SU. Is this good enough to participate in the coming "commodity super cycle" that may, or may not, happen? Also own lots of pipelines which probably would also benefit. Thanks Ron

Q: How do big block trades work?

You mentioned yesterday LSPD's SP dropped almost 6% likely due to a 3 million share+ block trade, while Friday's total volume traded was only 1.3 million shares. If so, can we expect another sell down on Monday until that 3 million share+ block is totally "consumed"? It seems the large portfolio managers are manipulating SPs, at the expense of the retails, to get their privately negotiated deals done (by suppressing SP to the deal's level). Where is the regulatory agency's protection for all investors in this regard. My "paper loss" was about 17% on LSPD from yesterday. Please help me in understanding this process better. Just frustrated. Thanks.

Q: I sent a question regarding selling stocks a couple of days ago approximately about some stocks I wanted an opinion about whether to sell and I have sold a few because they were underperforming on a daily basis. Here are some that I still have and would like your opinion on which ones you would sell: VFF (half of what it was a few months ago), GDNP, CARS (ETF - has a lot of electric car products in it - the market is saturated with these things and it shows in this ETF), CQQQ (China), and XBI (looks like upside down V).
