Q: I recently read an interview with Jensen Huang from back in 2017 where he went on record stating that AI will eat the software industry. It's a bold statement, but it appears many are expecting this thesis to play out. So my question is 2 fold.... do you see the larger upside within Tech on the chips side (picks and shovels) vs software going forward? And, is the acquisition and vertical software integration model with CSU the safer play within the software industry and more immune to declining margins like we recently saw with large enterprise software companies like CRM. Thank you!

Q: My TFSA is comprised of EIF (up), WELL ( down) and LMN ( up ) in equal amounts and is 4 % of my total ( cash and RRIF ) portfolios. I am not afraid of risk in my TFSA. I am looking at replacing EIF with HTA with the eventual goal of having HTA as my sole RRIF holding. I hold HTA
(5%) and EIF (2%) in my other portfolios. I like HTA for the combination of tech with high income. EIF has been good to me over the years but has been in decline for quite some time. Has something fundamental changed with this company ? HTA would be my only tech holding amongst my portfolios being almost 10% of value. Does this approach make sense?
Thanks. Derek

Q: Hi 5i
EQB up today, is this related to the national bank CWB deal announcement?
If so where does it go from here? Possible takeover target?
Would you continue to be buyers of EQB at this price?
Thx

Q: Would you still be a buyer of BN after the big run up this year or would you wait for a pull back?
Q: Would BMO be a good proxy for TD? Mid and longer term which do you see as more likely to do better? Please explain your reasoning.
Other banks or other high yield suggestions for proxies?
I have lots of BNS.
Thank you.

Q: I was watching an interview with David Rosenberg and Ed Devland. They were stating that the Canadian interest rates are going to have to be cut several times due to economic conditions. Can you recommend investment strategies to benefit from this . For example bonds going up in value because of the inverse relationship of interest rates and bond values. What bond etf's ect. Can you give US recommendations also, as it sounds like the Us will be later than Canada.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: 1. Short term assets do not cover short term liabilities or long term liabilities. Any concern about buying CSU right now?
2. Will it be difficult to divest and sell CSU over next 6 - 12 months because it has a relatively low sales volume (sometimes 10k / month)?

Q: Hi 5i
Has there been any news or updates to justify the recent positive price movement on shopify?
Would you be comfortable to average down at current price or is it more likely to give up recent gains? Do you think it is a big fund accumulating or just normal market activity.
Im hesitating because recent talking heads opinion seem to indicate whole market is primed for correction...Opinion on this?
thx

Q: Stock had a good week - was this mainly as a result of the drop in interest rates? Going forward will growth be organic and or are there potential acquisitions (ex Propel) which could be made? Alternatively is the company itself a target for takeover and if so which companies could be potetial buyers? Thanks
