Q: Greetings 5i Team,
I hold these securities in a TFSA and am looking to add a new position. At the same time, I will be trimming some of these as they have done very well.
Could you make a few suggestions for a new addition? Growth is the objective and diversification need not be overly considered (I am well diversified within other accounts).

Q: Hi Folks,

With some uncertainty in the future, including possible US tariffs and reaction tariffs, I curious if you have any thoughts on what those actions might mean for the short and medium term. I assume they would be withdrawn at some point (so not asking long term). Specifically, how banking (TD, BNS), and companies CSU and DSG and the overall TSX. Please free free to deduct 5 questions.

Q: Greetings 5i Team and HNY,
I see that DCBO is rated 'B' on the Gr Model Portfolio and that recent Q&A has it as a top pick. What would need to happen for the company to be upgraded to 'B+'?

Also, DSG is rated as 'A-' on the BE Model Portfolio; is it safe to assume that you prefer DSG over DCBO or would this be conditions based?

Q: I am only interested in holding Canadian Long Term Compounders. I am looking for companies with decent ROIC, ROE and good balance sheets and preferably owner/operators with skin in the game. In the Canadian space of my portfolio I hold CSU, ATD and TFII. My question is could you provide to me 10 small and mid cap Canadian names that you would feel would make the best long term compounders to hold for at least 5-10 years.

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I'm looking at some of my losers and pondering either getting rid of the or adding to them.

DHT.UN, HMM, OTXT, TSU

With some room freed up I was thinking of starting positions in PKI and DSG

What are your thoughts on the 4 stocks I'm down on? Would you add to any of them or look to sell for better opportunities? How would you rank them if you were to sell?

What are your thoughts on DSG and PKI? Do you view them as buyable now for 5-10 year holds?

This is in a TFSA which aims to balance growth and income.

Q: Good morning!

My non-registered is strictly canadian. It's tilted to growth as I'd like slightly outperform the index. With CSU being owned in my TFSA.

The two most probably choices are of course SHOP from the ashes and DSG. A surprisingly steady horse.

If you were me. Who do you add as a full position if 1 were to be owned. Of course diversification is key. Are both worthy of an add.

Would you please give an OK, better and vest range to do so.

Just reviewing your balance portfolio and I noticed that your highest conviction stocks are csu, dsg, shop and wsp, all around 6%. Can I assume that you would recommend these stocks for 2025 at this percentage of a balance portfolio?

Q: I feel I have too many small positions (2% or less) in a diversified RRIF. All are above water except for DOL which is the most recent buy. Could I have your input re eliminating 2 (or 3) of the holdings and applying the funds to the other 3 (or 2)? Thank you.

Q: Hello team,
What is your view on Canadian Banks at this point? The PE ratios seem to be on the high side according to yahoo.. Also, can you comment on Descartes Systems earnings .. the outlook does not seem to be positive given potential tariffs that could be slapped on with new administration.. is it still a buy?
