Q: Could you please comment on last week's NR from DHT.UN (see below). The market responded favourably and so did the analysts with a multitude of raised targets. Thanks as always.

Immediate and accretive cash flow generation replaces structured annual caps –

– Increasing capital deployment guidance to over US$1.25 billion deployed for the five years ending 2025 –

– Now expecting high-teens Royalty Income CAGR through 2025 and mid- to high-single digit Royalty Income CAGR through 2030, excluding any new transactions –

this is the press release we are referencing.

Q: Hi again 5i,
Re the question I just sent in asking for information about yesterday's sharp price decline and trading halt for DHT.UN, I've now learned of the bought-deal arrangement that was announced yesterday and which led me to sustain a significant paper loss on my first day of ownership.
So now my question is - could you please provide your analysis of the long-term implications of the bought deal for DHT.UN.
Thanks 5i.
Peter

Q: Hi 5i,
On June 29 you were asked for the best metrics to evaluate a royalty company like DHT.UN and your answer was:

We think the best metrics are distribution as a percentage of free cash flow (targeted between 30 and 35% as per management), new royalty transactions or pipeline, and EBITDA and FCF multiples.

Could you please supply the current numbers and information to fill in those metrics for DHT.UN, along with your commentary about what they lead you to conclude about the current health and future prospects of DHT.UN.

Thanks 5i,
Peter

Q: Hi 5i,
Do you still favour LIFE over DHT.un? And what about holding both in a TFSA?
And what is your opinion of PPL? It never goes up? I also have ENB but they have the underwater pipeline issue. What would be alternatives?
Many thanks for your patience and great suggestions.

Q: I thought I saw that a new analyst is following DRI, calling it a rare gem in the sector with a combination of higher yield but still having growth potential. It is still a fair bit under it’s IPO price, and too small to attract much attention I would think. I read your previous comments on this company, wondering if you having any other “colour commentary”? I’m tempted to put it into a TFSA, especially if the typical growth ideas may be facing headwinds for awhile. Do you know anything about the management, or the company’s performance/history before IPO’ing?

Q: Hi Everyone,
Lately PKI seems to be on a downward trajectory. I am wondering if it's time to sell the stock, or do you see it rebounding this year.?
Also, I would like your opinion on DHT.UN. I know nothing about this stock, but it has a very attractive dividend. Does it have a lot of debt? How safe is its dividend and does it have any growth potential?
I appreciation your opinion.
Thanks,
Jane

Q: Good morning 5i,
I'd like to put some funds into healthcare for a what expect to be 3 to 5 years. Currently, HHL will provide around 8.6% per annum income, but capital gain potential seems limited. DHT.UN meanwhile is currently yielding 2.4% but the analysts I have access to appear optimistic for future share price growth.
I definitely like the HHL income (which I would reinvest in the name quarterly) but wonder if, in your opinion based on current available info, whether or not it would be overly risky to lock down some DHT.UN at current levels instead. I guess an earnings report or two from DHT.UN illustrating how 2021 has gone so far might be helpful in looking ahead, but I'm not aware of any ...?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Q: In a recent question on DHT.UN you mentioned they expected to pay out 20-30% of earnings .... Being a royalty company I suspect they may have a dividend percentage range or goal in mind ..... With these type of companies I am not really interested unless that yield is on the north side of 5% ..... With the current company mix do you have an estimate of what you think that yield percentage might be ?
