Q: I purchased DND back when it was in your portfolio, you have since dropped it, I still hold a small share. What is your opinion now with the two recent acquisitions and Engine Capital (approx 7% owner) not overly pleased.

Q: Hi 5i,
Would appreciate your thoughts on DND fourth quarter results? Specifically, their progress towards debt reduction and the upside vs downside risk from the current valuation.
Thank you,

Q: Vancouver-based Clio a leader in legal technology.
Are you aware of a public company that would be similar to Clio to invest in?
What does a leader in legal technology actually do?
A public company in another field of technology other than legal that has potential.
Thank you.

Q: Thoughts on latest results. Listened to the call - while not in a position to follow everything -I felt the tone was a bit dismissive to the questioners. And what are your thoughts on the debenture buy back - not seeing where they have the cash to complete that but easily might have misread the statements or perhaps a line of credit? Mainly just wondering if that points towards or away from a share issue as Engine is concerned about.
Q: Hi 5i,

Q: Hi 5i,
Would appreciate your thoughts on Engine Capital’s letter to DND in regards to their suspicions that DND intends to issue shares.
I see Engine Capital’s efforts as a positive check to DND management but I am concerned how effective they can be.
Thank you,
Greg C.

Q: Hi 5i,
I currently hold DND and REAL, which I had purchased approx. 1year ago. My Thesis for both of these stocks is that once interest rates begin to fall both stocks both could experience positive stock movement to the upside given the current need for housing and all the pent up demand in the US/Canada.
I have read your report on dropping coverage of DND and your answers to questions on REAL. It would appear that your main concern is on their debt levels and that there are better opportunities elsewhere for an investors capital. Is that correct?
Do you have any actual concerns with the business models of both these companies itself? What are your views on the real estate market in general?
Apologize for the multiple questions. Please deduct as many credits as needed.
Thanks in advance!

Q: Based on you dropping coverage of DND I think it's time to cut my losses and move on as well. Can you please recommend potential replacements? Would DCBO be one or are there others that would be better from a risk/total return perspective over a 5 year time horizon?

Q: I'm down a fair amount in registered plans after holding each of the 13 listed stocks for some time. Please rate in terms those that are worth keeping as the prospects are good vs those where it's probably time to cut losses and move on. Timeframe of 5 years before starting to draw down from portfolio.
