Q: Dye and Durban reported results this morning which don't seem to have pleased the market. What do you think of this company? Also, do you find the negative stock action Friday mildly suspicious? This is not normally a stock that jumps up or down that much on no news.

Q: What are your top 5 Canadian growth small cap picks for a TFSA? and why (what makes each of them worthy)?
Q: DND has recently had a considerable rally. What do you think of the cashflow and profitability now - I am asking for an answer that assumes the takeover does not go through. What about valuation ratios currently and compared to assumed growth rates going forwards? Cheap, fair or expensive? Thanks.
Q: I would like to purchase one of these for an aggressive growth account for the next 5+ years. How would you order them best to worst? Thanks.

Q: Hello Peter
Best wishes for the Season
I owne the above in my non taxable accounts with a considerable loss. I am a senior who tended to invest in growth stocks with some sucess exept in the last 12 months.
I consider that above list has some potential for recovery.
I would like to concentrate on the bests with the greatest potential recovery in 2023.
I will appreciate your advice on the stocks I could sell or add on or replace.
I always value your opinion

Q: DND is up 16% currently. After its repurchase of shares do you anticipate the share price will drop back to 11.50 or will it sustain its gain.
Not trying to ask you to be a fortune teller but just share your experience with what has happened to other company share prices in this instance.
want to know if I should take advantage of this jump in price.
Sheldon

Q: Can you confirm my valuation is correct? DND is on track to generate +$150M in free cash flow this year and if I had the money I could buy the whole company for $797 M? The big concern is the billion $ is debt? Thanks
Q: The Globe and Mail has an interesting piece on DND. Apparently the CEO has received share grants of over 9,000,000 shares in the last 3 years. These have a current market value of over $100,000,000. The market cap of the company is only $900,000,000. I see red flags, but Mr. Proud sees a parade. What do you think?
Q: Dear 5i,
Your answer to my question about DND is extraordinary.
Thank you very much.

Q: Hello 5i,
In a December 7 question, you include DND in a list of stocks of which you write: We believe these companies fit the description of simple, predictable, strong financial position and undervalued companies: BAM.A, BNS, TFII, CSU, DND, QSR. I have a small position in DND and for me, (aside from the undervaluation) I don't feel like it fits that definition well. There is definitely something I am missing. Can you enlighten me on your logic?
Thanks

Q: Seems to me that the market must be offering up some strong, well run companies that, for some strange reason, are trading at much lower prices than what they deserve. These kinds companies pay a good dividend, have a strong balance sheet and their forward earnings look good and dependable. (perhaps you call these kinds of companies 'value' companies). Anway, here's my question, I would like to begin investing in them and would appreciate your opinion on a number of these value companies that I should consider adding to my portfolio. Perhaps 6 Canadian and 6 American. Thanks as always for your appreciated opinion.

Q: What normally happens, or what options are available, to a company that has a substantial issuer bid but isn't able to attract enough attention from shareholders to redeem the full amount of the bid?
Q: DND has offered to purchase back shares by Dec 16. option1 ; tender offer, option 2 : purchase offer. Please advise which option or best to leave as is, let the mkt. determines. Thanks, Fooklin

Q: So I felt this stock had a fairly bright future. So is this stock a tax sell off problem. What do you fell, is it a sell, hold or buy. AND would you please elaborate on this issue.
Q: What is expected from DND when they report this week? Is the $30 target expected by Cannacord realistic? Thanks
