Q: Hello Peter,
I am assuming Enbridge and TC Energy are going up due to higher oil prices and fortis and emera are safer places to be. In the long run, should i move some monies from Enbridge and TC energy to Fortis or Emera as they may have higher pricing power going forward when negotiating new rates? Thanks very much

Specifically about LSPD, has anything changed at the company except for the CEO?

Q: I see bond yield on 30 year US paper around 2.25%. Does it not heavily support the return to lower inflation in the short/medium term?

What's your projection (best guess) for inflation in the next 3 to 5 years? Thank you.

Do you think Brookfield renewables is surging (to move away from oil) due to higher oil prices? If oil dips, would you think the stock will get hit? From the various sectors, which one do you think offers the best potential given the current situation? Would the agriculture sector be a good one with cow on tsx. Thanks very much

Any idea why Arc Resources and Whitecap are not participating to the same degree as other oil stocks like Tamarack Valley? On BNN, it was mentioned that if Arc is not re-rated, it could be a take out candidate. If so, what price would you think makes sense as takeover candidate? Much appreciated.

Q: Hello,

I'm a long-term, buy-and-hold type but, like most everyone else, I'm losing patience with GUD, which I started accumulating in 2016.

If there's anything good to say about it, it is that its share price has held up fairly well during recent upheavals and overall market declines.

With that in mind, I'm considering pulling the trigger to raise funds, as I see other buying opportunities coming in to view and the opportunity cost to continue holding seems ever more painful.

Speaking of painful, I'll take a 30% hit, but doing so will free up decent funds for other purchases (likely TOI).

Is there a compelling argument to be made to continue holding GUD?

Appreciate your insights as always.

My preferred shares keep getting redeemed. Please give some suggestions for p/s that would be appropriate for a rising interest rate environment. Would you stick with rate resets or would you think perpetuals would be discounted now?
