Q: RGSI Should we be snapping up Rockpoint shares while the company or whomever is selling them off at $24.50?

Q: Hello,
Any comments on the short report on BMNR. Supposedly the short seller had a similar view on MicroStrategy but the short aspect did not materialize. Tom Lee is well known so I am not sure to bail at this point or stick to it for longer term. Also, i was hoping to see a surge in ATRL after the announcements of the major projects but the stock hardly moved. Any comments please. Thanks very much.

Q: Could you tell me which 5 of these TFSA companies you would add money to first in a correction. Could you also give me two, not in this list that you consider better or just as good than these names, for a tfsa.
Thanks for all you do. Gilles

Q: Dear Peter et al:

People talk about Gold Silver ratio and say that it is time for Silver to breach 50$ mark and the next stop is 60. Of course the usual hyperbole is there on YouTube calling for 100$ Silver! (IF Gold hits 4500/5000, all bets are off for Silver apparently!) .

So, what is this ratio all about? Does it have some validity? A tradable instrument? I know you dislike price targets. Care to hazard a guess on Silver/Gold prices? Finally at what stage are we in this Gold VS Siver cycle? (I have heard anywhere between 2nd innings to 3rd and so on!!)

BTW I know you prefer Silver stocks and I know your picks from your previous answer to my questions. No problems there.

Q: Hi 5i,

Many thanks for your very helpful and thorough reply to my question on covered call ETFs.

I realize that I still lack some financial education to become a better investor. Since I work full-time, could you suggest practical ways to build up this knowledge? For example, would you recommend evening classes in Montreal, online courses, or perhaps a good reading list?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

With gratitude,

Jacques IDS

Q: I'm interested in joining the gold rush, but have no insight on specific gold stocks. Would you be able recommend the names of three gold ETFs that I can check out? Better still, would you be able to suggest three top gold stocks as well? Thanks.

Q: Peter’s email today discussed CDRs
My question is - does this type of investment in US stocks contribute to the $100,000 threshold limit for reporting foreign property (form T1135)?

Q: Early September I asked a question about these two companies.
Hura has shown big increases in price while u.un
has gone nowhere
If you were to buy now would you buy Hura after this big run up ? Would you buy u.un also?
In your previous answer, you suggested buying both
Always
Thank you

Q: Help calm me down ! This stock has exploded and it’s in my TFSA ! Thank you, thank you.
With sugar plums dancing in my head I fear my
rational investment thinking has gone out the window but here it goes : GLXY it’s now 35 % of my TFSA and my TFSA is 5% of total investments ( banks, utilities etc )so it is roughly 1.5 - 2 % of total. The company has its toes in crypto and data centres, two of the hot themes of today, and seems well managed but I have been burnt before ( EGLX , TV. ) because of not knowing when to sell. I suppose position size, change in fundamentals, and valuation would be factors in making a decision. And if you sell, I should too, but until then hold on ?
Thanks. Derek.

Q: Hello 5i,
Retired investor requiring sustainable income.
I currently hold ZWG as a large part of my International holdings, however it is largely U.S. and I am currently overweight U.S. by 10% according to my P.A. analysis.
I require the higher income that the C.C. ETF's bring to the table and I was considering switching from ZWG to EMCC:CA (Global X MSCI Emerging Markets C.C. ETF), either in whole or in part. Currently I have no Emerging Market coverage to speak of.
I do have some other Global X products and have no issues with them, but I would like your expert opinion on my proposed switch. Are there any "red flags" that I should be aware of? Would there be other options that you could recommend that you would be far more comfortable with?
Many thanks for any clarity you can provide!!
Cheers,
Mike

Q: Like many of your subscribers, I am enjoying the current run up in gold. I have positions in EQX, AEM and ARIS. My question is what happens when/if the run abates or the price of gold sags, for whatever reason. Which of the gold companies, including the above, are best suited to survive in a lower gold price environment, and why? Many thanks

Q: Is recent question I asked was only partially answered. The question was asked by Tim on Oct 8. Here is your response:
Our top five for a growth investor with a long-term timeframe would be: SHOP ($220 if possible), BN ($91-$93), TRI ($190 to $200), CSU ($3800), TD ($105 to $110) /BNS ($85).

The part of the question not answered was whether these large cap stocks would be suitable for a tfsa. I have been using small caps mostly, but now am wanting to get more conservative. Thanks very much
