Q: Greetings 5i team,
For my 2025 TFSA contribution, I will be adding to existing holdings as listed above. In what order might a person add to these three companies. I note the 6% drop in EQB today.
Thank you very much as always

Q: Kind of an apples and oranges choice between two completely different industries but if you were only buying one ..... RS for a Trump play on tariffs ? Or EQB in Canada ? And a brief explanation why ? ...... Thanks for your terrific service Garth .......

Q: Hi 5i Team.

I have some names in my TFSA account such as ATD, ATX and ENGH (and maybe some others) that are laggers and would like to move out of them and into something with potentially higher returns.
I also own the other names mentioned above.
What are your thoughts and could you recommend 3 to 5 Canadian and/or US names with the reasons and entry points.
also own NVDA that has grown to a huge percentage of the account.
I know that I should sell some but it has been such a great performer.

Thank you
Joe

Q: From previous responses I am assuming you would buy BN over EQB for a long term hold.
My concern is buying BN after such a run.
Is there room for this run to continue based on its valuation?
I have found in the past you just buy the good ones and let them do what they do.
Is that the case here again.

Thinking of switching GSY for EQB for perhaps a little more stability and eliminate the risk of that interest rate cap adjustment potential.
Your detailed thoughts pls.

Q: In your answer to Shirley on Nov. 22 you wrote, "We think investors can position a portfolio more conservatively by raising the allocation to defensive names that emphasize downside protection with good upside potential." Can you give a list of 5 CAD and 5 US stocks that you think would fall under that statement?
Thank you

Q: I'm trying to get my head around EQB . I've read 5i's analysis of the company but the part I don't understand is why would " Joe Sixpack " go to them for a car loan or to renew their mortgage rather than one of the big six ? ...... Not to mention I suspect " Joe Sixpack " has never heard of them . I also don't understand why or what a Credit Union would use them for ? ..... Could 5i explain just who their market is ? And why using EQB would be more attractive than a mainstream financial institution ? Thanks for your terrific service .......

I'm thinking about selling a full position in Gsy (up over 200%, thanks) and topping up Prl, Ifc and Eqb into full positions. Thoughts?
Take care
