Q: The following stocks were in your Stock Screener Canadian Dividend Machines. Please give me you thoughts on them. Would you buy them at current levels? How would you rank them for combination of growth and dividend for the next two years?

Q: Hi 5i,

You commented that you would not add more to an existing position but would you be a new buyer or this company?
Is there still a compelling growth story here for a 3 year hold or do you think there are better companies in this sector to deploy cash that are forecasting better growth acceleration?
I huge thank you for all you do!

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
MATR just reported quarterly results. The stock opened down 12% now recovering and down 6%. Please give your opinion about the results. Is the correction warranted or an over reaction. What do you think about this company going forward? Thank you for your insightful information.

Q: Hello Peter,
Can you comment on Vitahub's results? Why is Algonquin down so much as it was expected the company would sells its renewable business? Given lumine group results, is it better to move monies into topicus or csu? Lastly does it matter if company reports before the market or after the market?

Q: May I have your current thoughts on MDA? Any concerns on the latest quarter? Is executive compensation “reasonable”. I get the impression you considered the stock a hold or a weak buy back in July. Is my understanding correct and if so are you more favourable disposed to the stock now?
Thanks,
Jim

Q: Given the recent dividend cut and share price decline, is AQN now a viable takeover candidate? I understand that an asset manager had acquired as small stake recently that gave them some seats on the board and they are pushing for change. The PB is cheap but they have a lot of debt. What is this company possibly worth per share if all debt was paid off?

Q: I am retired and invested in the following corporate class ETFs in an effort to reduce income from non-registered accounts: HBB, HULC, HXCN, HXDM, HXQ, HXS, HXT and HXX which I do not plan to tap into over the next five years.

I have allocated roughly 9% to HBB, HXCN, HXQ, HXS and HXX and 18% to HULC, XDM and HXT.

How would you revise these percentages for optimal allocation in terms of diversification in view of the current and anticipated market conditions?

Any suggestions in terms of other corporate class ETFs I should be looking at ?

Q: Hello 5i, I own Crew in a cash acct and TOU in my RSP acct I think if I take the shares they would go into the RSP acct but not sure as I do not want more shares in my RSP. Could you comment as to if Crew shares will pay a dividend or special dividend ?
I would like your opinion as to sell Crew shares now or wait to see if TOU shares increase in value over the next 2 month's.

Q: Thanks for answering both of my questions on ATS and BYD earnings. In reviewing past answers on these 2 companies it seems to me that this in not the first 'disappointing' quarter they have had.

They seem to be in a slump on earnings and in performance which naturally follows.

ATS -31% year to date and -30 for 1 year.

BYD -18% year to date and -3% for 1 year.

Both significantly lagging the S&P and QQQ.

How much longer will you give these 2 in your portfolios before they are replaced?

If you were to replace them today with good quality US stocks with good performance numbers, which would they be?

Thanks

Sheldon
