Q: Gildan's debt is a little high but other metrics look good. Wondering if you think they can profit from "buy Canadian" momentum.
Have owned AXON, sold at nice profit. Thinking of re-entering. Would you enter now or wait?
Thanks for your wise counsel,
Mike

5i Research Answer:
GIL has significant US sales, but this week noted it can largely escape tariff costs, as it produces cotton in the US which is spun in North and South Carolina and ends production elsewhere. But it is a Canadian company and could still see some benefits from Canadians seeking Canada goods (note though our market is so small it is not likely to be material). We would be comfortable buying AXON today.
