Q: Hi, I'm a new member and have this basic question. Analyst recommendation in a company profile shows recommendations such as Buy, Hold and a number assigned to them. For example, AAPL has 16 for Strong Buy, 3 for Moderate Buy. Is the any FAQ section in the website which can educate me on how to interpret these numbers? What it means to be 16 for strong buy? Is 16 out of 100 or something else? Can I filter stocks which have strong buy recommendation above a certain number say 10 on your website?
Q: The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has opened an in-depth probe into Nvidia Corp's agreement to acquire Arm Ltd. Alphabet Inc, Qualcomm Inc and Microsoft Corp have complained to U.S. antitrust regulators about the deal. Arm Holdings supplies intellectual property to Apple, Qualcomm and a host of others for chips that power nearly all of the world's smartphones.
Should I be concerned? I was of the opinion that this deal is key to NVDA's growth not to mention the global shortage of chips.

Q: Hello,
In the consumer discretionary sector would you consider COTY or ULTA to be attractive? Which one would you pick?
COTY was an offshoot of PG I believe..TOI is from CSU..Does Mark Leonard have any say in the management of TOI? If Topicus were to follow in CSU's footsteps (framework) they would do very well. Are there any such precedents where offshoots have done very well? Why do companies sell of portions of the company? Thanks and happy family day. No rush to answer these questions. Cheers, Shyam

Q: Over the past few weeks I've become increasingly interested in alternative investing, particular with regard to fixed income. I meet the criteria for an accredited investor and could manage an offering memorandum, yet liquid alts look a little more interesting. Three questions: (1) Do you think there's a case to be made to redeploy 5% to 10% of the traditional 60/40 mix into alternatives? (2) Are you guys up for answering some questions about the different liquid alt strategies? (3) If not, any suggestions where a relatively savvy investor would go to get some good independent advise on how to best wade into this asset class?
Q: Is there a product segment of AVY accounting for the 52 week high?

Q: Mike asked about the valuation of Pyrogenesis today, Feb 16th, commenting that it had never been profitable or cash flow positive. I just wanted to point out that this has changed in fiscal year 2020. The last quarter was very profitable, and the current estimate for fiscal 2020, released on Jan 11th, is for revenue of $14 - 16 million, an increase of approximately 200% since 2019, and net income of 22 - 24 cents per share, compared to a loss of 7 cents per share in 2019. The company is making good progress with their various product lines involving plasma torches for various industrial purposes, plasma atomized metal powder, and plasma waste-to-energy systems.

Q: Wondering what your thoughts are on Chartwell these days. Is it likely to come back after Covid? I own a moderate position in a LIF and wonder if it is a good idea to hold it. It's all bad news about the care homes right now so I hate to sell at the worst time. What are your prospects for this going forward or is there another one I should switch to?
Q: Would you agree that the equity markets have in effect become a synthetic casino where money begets money and the idea that capital flowing to companies to provide the wherewithal for expansion thus job and wealth creation has become secondary?
Last year some 2.7 trillion trades produced roughly 120 trillion dollars of notional equity value. How much of that value ultimately found its way to provide capital to businesses? Less than 5 percent probably.
