Q: It seems the world’s electrical grid is going to look a lot different in the future. All the talk is around digitization and decentralization, whereby DER’s (distributed energy resources) will add supply back into the grid (solar panels, generators, even EV’s) and the local utility will also be able to reduce demand remotely by adjusting your a/c, hot water tank etc. all enabled by smart meters/networks driven by the technology of the internet of things and AI. My question is do you have an idea who the capital light kind of tech companies are that are going to provide the services to all the Utilities out there to make this happen? It is already happening in few places on a small scale, but the addressable market going forward is mind boggling. I guess I would much sooner invest in the tech than the guys digging lithium out of the ground! Any info appreciated, thanks.

Q: I have some US cash I'm looking to invest in a company that I feel would fair ok in a recession. What are your thoughts on Waste Management and Dollar General? Are there competitor's in their respective sector's you would prefer?
We have TFII and WSP as equal weighted stocks. Is there enough difference between the two to retain both stocks in our RRSP's? If we were to consolidate, which stock would be preferred?
Q: On April 24 TIXT moved up considerably before dropping back down. The price went up about $2 before dropping back down. Something must have been rumoured to cause this type of jump. There does not seem to be any news to cause this type of move. Any ideas?
Q: Trying to build a long term bonds piece to my portfolio. Currently own small positions with ZFL and XLB. What addition add to or new buys should I make to continue adding to bonds?
After the FED's announcement what if bonds go up a lot? What if they go down a lot? Does that make a difference? Would you be a contrarian at this point? Please explain your position. Take as many credits as you see fit.
Thank you
Q: I have been fortunate to own the above names, some for not as long as I wish I did. When you look at their 10 year charts they are impressive. Can I ask you to list a few more Canadian and perhaps several U.S. stocks that maybe also pay a small dividend but that you consider must own names for long term growth? (I do own BN as well). Thank you as always.
Q: I am interested in income and currently hold 3% of ZWU and 3% of ZWC in my RIF. I would like to bring one of them up to a 5% holding and am looking for your opinion on which one to add to and why. Thanks, James

Q: I know you don't cover Chinese stocks and this one is quite volatile. But can you please advise if this stock exhibits any other signs of distress that might indicate it is possible for it to reach bankruptcy. Would you say that its balance sheet is over-leveraged, is there a worrying amount of insider sales, or other things that you would deem worrysome?
Thank you for any info you can provide, I really appreciate it.
