Q: I recognize this is a timing question so apologies in advance. My portfolio is 100% equities (no bonds). As I approach retirement I am thinking of moving 20-25% of my RSP/LIRA into bond ETF's. With rising rates and high inflation am I best to wait this out until we get closer to the end of the rate hiking cycle? If I was to time it perfectly (I know, I know) would it be to buy the bond funds at the interest rate peak? Please recommend a few ETF's to achieve a balanced bond portfolio and any thoughts you have on timing this.

Q: The following was in the Globe today and I quote: "Canaccord Genuity’s Doug Taylor lowered his Well Health Technologies Corp. to $10 from $12 with a “buy” rating, while PI Financial’s Kris Thompson cut his target to $9 from $10.50 with a “buy” rating. The AVERAGE is $10.12."

And yet is sits at $5.10. After a good, solid quarter. I just shake my head and wonder what I am missing?

If it wasn't for 5i I would have all my money in a sock hidden under the mattress.

Q: I'm overweight financials - almost 20% of my total portfolio. In relatively equal proportions I hold: BAM, GSY, SLF, X and V. Should I trim across the board or do these stocks have sufficiently different economic drivers that being 20% overweight is not a concern? Thank you.
