Q: How would you rank these for adding to my TFSA today? They have all been beaten up, but are good stocks. Thanks as always!

Q: With the recent down turn in Google I would like to buy now and hopefully benefit from a price increase when the stocks splits 20 for 1 in July. I have 3,000 US, so I can buy one Google share OR 120 Google CDRs. What would i5R recommend, buy 1 US share OR 120 Google CDRs with CDN funds. Thanks … Cal

Q: Hi,

Have some cash to put to work. What would be in your top 5-10 CDN and US stocks that fit the descriptions below. Can be value or growth. Long term investor. Thanks!

“stocks with fair valuations that are at great price points and have taken a hit during this market volatility”

“high-quality stocks with sustainable growth, solid valuation frameworks, robust profits, positive earnings revisions, and strong momentum compared to peers.”

“wonderful company at a fair price”

“Bargains are the holy grail of the true stock picker. We see the latest correction not as a disaster, but as an opportunity to acquire more shares at low prices. This is how great fortunes are made over time,”

Q: Hi,
Given the recent great earnings report from Alphabet and their announcement of a 20:1 stock split, do you think it is a good time to start a position in GOOG? Or would you wait it out for a while, as there is likely more downside for growth stocks? Fundamentally it would seem to be an easy choice for a buy and hold long term, but from a more technical perspective, I am wondering if this is a buying opportunity, or more of a wait and see?
Thanks for all your valuable insight!

Q: Two quick questions. GOOG currently make up 6.4% of my total portfolio. Given recent developments, I'm inclined to let it run. At one point would you start to rebalance?

I also hold HD in a registered account and am up >95%. In a recent response to a question, you expressed a strong preference for RH over HD. I note that HD has a beta just over 1, while RH is 2.37. RH's significantly higher beta gives me pause. Given that I am a medium risk-taker, would you suggest I swap HD for RH? Thank you.

Q: What would your best guess as to the price of Google after the 20-1 split? I have been reluctant to buy Google due to high price per share and am now interested, would it be best to buy now at fewer shares or wait until the split and buy more shares? Do you think now or post split?
Cheers, Doug

Q: I have some new money to invest in my TFSA. I am well diversified in my other accounts, and am now wondering what to add to my TFSA. I am a senior so I would say about a 5 year time frame that this would stay in the TFSA, maybe more.
Any suggestions you have would be helpful.
Thanks so much for your help in the past, it has always proved very lucrative.

Q: For the 6 big techs listed above, could you please list in order of best to "least best", for a buy and forget 10-year hold. Can you also list the 6 from least risky to highest risk. If you were going concentrate on only 4, what would they be at this time?
Thanks!!

Q: I am currently down ~42% on both of these having bought them 1 year ago. Are there some better options for me to move into or should I just keep holding on?
