Q: Morning 5i team,
Thanks for all your great advice to help grow our portfolios.
I own some URI and looks like it’s stalled and looking to sell that and buy one of the following, COST, TT, WMT, CAT or HD.
What are your thoughts on that move or would you put it somewhere else?

Q: I currently hold COST, WMT, and ADT in consumer staples and am wondering if switching WMT and or ADT for either PRMW, L, or DOL would give me better growth going forward? Or do you have a better option?

Thanks,

Q: Hi 5i!
Piggy backing off one of my last questions on building a solid portfolio from scratch through diversification et al(THANK YOU!). Knowing you can’t get personal; looking for some mid to long term hold recommendations (either US or CA) in the following sectors with growth upside in mind as I have significant cash (250K+) sitting in my RRSP doing nothing. I am currently quite top heavy in Tech – and own the above in registered and non-registered accounts.

If you have several recos for a sector, can you please rank in order of preference. Additionally, if there is a sector that can be put to the side with the idea of prioritizing others, I would be keen to know. Also open to add ETF's to represent a sector. As always, thanks a million. I love your service.

• Consumer Staples
• Healthcare
• Industrials
• Communications
• Energy

Q: My industrial portfolio currently has a light exposure to the industrial sector. I’d like to diversify by adding some industrial stocks in the US and Canada. Additionally, in the consumer sector, I already hold ATD, TOY, PBH, ULTA, and COST. To further enhance my consumer holdings, could you recommend several consumer stocks in the US and one or two in Canada? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Q: I have held XLP for sometime and thought it may be better to hold a few consumer defensive stocks instead for better overall performance. Also, XLP has a high percentage of tobacco companies that would prefer not to hold.

Would you be able to provide a 2 or 3 suggestions. I would prefer US or international companies.

Thank you

Q: I presently have $66,000 to invest and am looking at these stocks to buy. Please place them in order of preference . Best choices first and if there is some you would not buy at present prices ? I could have an extra $5,000 available if I sold my DDOG. Is it a hold or sell ? Thanks for your help !

Q: In reference to your answer that we should consider being overweight the US at this time, can you give one US name in each sector for modest growth (not dividends) over the next few years? Please take as many credits as necessary with thanks.

Q: I would like your thoughts on CL. I have had it for three years and it has done nothing until recently, with a 2% div. I feel I should take my small gain and move on. If you agree, do you have better consumer stocks I should consider. Or should I just add to my COST and ATD holdings.

Q: Hello,

I recently purchased the Costco CDR and was hoping you could help me understand why the CDR is showing a quarterly dividend of 0.05 with 2.75% yield on the TD app while the Nasdaq listed Costco is showing a much lower yield of 0.56%. Also, can you give me a performance comparison of the two over 1 and 2 year period. Thanks.

Q: Several of these stalwarts have taken significant falls as of late. Are any of these compelling buys? Are any generational opportunities ? Can you rank which order you would be and add a level of conviction to each once (10 being a table poounding but)?

Q: I have 4 stocks doing very well in my TFSA, MSFT, BRK.B, VI and APPL. Recently I noted that COSTCO is doing very well and I am considering adding it to my TFSA but am out of space. 1) do you think that adding Costco to my TFSA is a good idea and 2) if so which of the my current stocks above should I replace?
Many thanks. Jane
