Q: The AI fields are currently very much the talk of the tech world. Do you have names of Canadian companies active in the AI fields, other than OTEX, we can check out as names of interest for potential investment? Thanks.

Q: I currently hold XMC in my unregistered account as I want exposure to the S&P Midcap 400 index. However, as you pointed out in your response to a recent question, the MER at 0.61% is quite high. Do you recommend an equivalent ETF that trades in the US that I could buy instead? Are there any disadvantages to replacing a Canadian listed ETF with a US listed ETF in an unregistered account (other than realizing tax on the capital gain upon the disposition of XMC)? Thanks as always.

Q: Your take please. Happen to be checking out Ci direct investing asset management for a managed portfolio. They have declining management fee starting at .6% On the first 150k and so on 500k it would be .4%.and if you chose the balanced portfolio you would get the portfolio fund mentioned above. This would be at an expense of an additional 2.92% for the Nicola core portfolio fund. Can this make any sense if a person wanted a legacy portfolio. Your valued opinion please and any advice on a better alternative? Basically do you think this fund is worth it? Tks Larry

Q: Why is CAE struggling. With a large backlog and with little competition in its sector shouldn't it be profitable? Is there a management problem? Where do you see it going in the future? Buy or sell?
As well, what is your opinion of ATS going forward?
Thanks for your continued expertise Stephen

Q: Hi 5i, and would welcome your review of the recent Quarterly results from Twilio, and whether you would consider it as a buy/ hold/ or sell. Do you see any red flags or concerns with the future business prospects or in achieving their march to eventual profitability, and the merits as a long-term hold and any competitive advantage that they may hold in the space they operate in? Thanks kindly.

Q: I have a very small position in Royal Helium... it is down a lot. I am wondering what you think.
Helium is a finite/diminishing resource that is key for things like computing and semi conductors and certain high tech equipment - i'd have thought with the AI craze and Royal Helium finally producing/being one of the few (only) traded companies in Canada with active production.. but it has just kept falling.

Q: Are there any small cap names on your radar that have been growing their top line and profits every year that appear to have a long runway of growth ahead of them -or any that you're excited about?
Along with that are there any that stand out to you that would begin to garner attention from bigger players in the coming years if they continue to grow stay on track? I Would like to a few ideas for a long term hold if the companies can continue to execute.

Thanks very much

Q: Following up on my previous question, could you please rank CEG, NPI and CSIQ with the others you mentioned before?

“ I am contemplating replacing Fortis with a greener utility. I already own BEP. What are your best suggestions please in Canada and the US and their relative risk rankings.

Answer:
We do like FTS; for other suggestions, we would note: PPL, FE, SO, DTE, H, CU. We would rank these: NEE, SO, H, DTE, FE, CU, PPL”

Thank you again, Michael

Q: Roku just dropped 20% today.
. This causes me to be at a loss of 35% ($1750).

My ROLU stake in my RRSP is now 4%

Should I sell my winning stocks and buy the ROKU dip. I was thinking to invest $3100 in Roku so that average loss would go to 17.5%..

Or should just sell Roku at this point and move.on?

Q: HI folks
Sadly, I am down on all of these somewhere between 60 to 95%!!! They mostly but not all started out as somewhat small positions 2 to 4 years ago! I have time to wait longer but: 1)are there any that are absolute failures and therefore should be sold. 2) Would you please rate the selIs from 1 to 10 ..10 being the absolute SELL. 3)How many years should I give these? (tough to answer but just a guess). I will not get much at all for any of them! Please take as many credits as you see fit.
Much Thanks and happy Family weekend
