Q: I had BEPC (3%), BAM(1%) and BN(5%), TD(3%) but just sold my BEPC, with the intent to use the proceeds to bump up BAM. Would I be wiser to bump up my TD or would you expect the profiles and forward looking growth/income to be similar? Non-Registered account.

Q: Looking for a real estate play in my TFSA with a 3-5 year hold. I note that TCN is smaller and more volatile than CAR. However TCN is currently priced at a substantial discount to CAR. I noted your comment to a previous question about investors switching to growth names from bond proxies after interest rates settle. Considering an initial 2% position in TCN. Comments please. Q: I want to invest in 5 or 6 of the above companies, using CDRs on the NEO exchange. I know you like them all, but I need to narrow it down a bit, based on available funds. Although it will be in a non-registered account, the goal is very long term growth. My wife and I will not need the money, so essentially I suppose I'm investing for my children. If two of the stocks are roughly equal in growth potential, then I would choose the one that adds a bit of diversification. But I don't mind if they are correlated and all move up together. It is probably easiest for you to answer this question by rank ordering them, and I will pick the first 5 or 6. Thank you for such great service over the years.

Q: My veterinarian makes a killing off me. With pet ownership rising, and pets being increasingly considered part of the family, I see this as a growth business.

Are there any public companies that own and consolidate veterinarian businesses, similar to what is done by dental Corp, storage vault, neighborly, etc for their respective businesses. Thanks

Q: I am a dividend growth investor and I’m running out of patience with Rogers who hasn’t increased its dividend in over 3 yrs. It appears that Rogers takeover of Shaw is almost certain at this point. This takeover will cost Rogers 20 billion and likely add significant debt to their balance sheet. Do you see Rogers increasing its dividend anytime soon or ever again? I’m considering selling my Rogers shares for a small profit and using the proceeds to increase my Telus holdings and was curious as to your thoughts on this move. Really appreciate the great service that you provide.

Q: Hello 5i,

I have small 0.8% positions, in both PINS and APPS, in an unregistered account.

Looking for advice on possible consolidation:

1) Consolidate APPS into PINS
2) Consolidate PINS into APPS
3) Consolidate both APPS and PINS into TTD, PERI or MELI.
4) Do nothing.

5+ year time-frame with high risk tolerance.

Q: Hi Peter,

Can chatGPT replace google as a search engine ( Have read this in some news stories) ? Also, Bing is going to soon have a link for chatGPT on its home page.

Does google have a moat around itself, is it so easy to beat/replace google ?

Should we exiit Google and move to MSFT before this happens.....or is it safer to sell Google and move to something like QQQ or VGT ?

Does having those billions of indexed search pages that google have, give it a moat ?
This would be a more apt question for a IT guy....but a lot is at stake here.
