Q: EQB and ROKU are a couple of under-performers over the last while that I hold. With EQB, I read your questions and answers everyday and I have come across better stocks than this and I am wondering if I should just move on. I know any information I get from you on US stocks is a bonus but by doing the reading on the Questions & Answers, ROKU is one of the stocks that you used to like, hopefully you still do and there are just so many other US ones I read about that are doing better. What is your opinion on this? I really enjoy the service. Thanks Dennis

Q: These are my stocks in my TFSA as of today. A full position is $11K. All performing well, thank you for that 5i. My thought for this year's contribution I would add to GSY and KXS. Also thought of replacing EQB with ATCO. May I have your input please. Thanks in advance David

Q: Hi, Equitable Group has been on a tear and Home Capital is close. Today's results were excellent and EQB has committed to increasing dividends 20-25% every year for next 5 years. Stabilizing housing/mortgage market and improving sentiment has been the primary reason helping this meteoric rise.
What is your opinion on this sector and would you support starting a position in either of these companies for a 5 year hold. If so, which one would you prefer, in terms of Valuation, ROC and Growth prospects? Thanks

Q: Peter, I read your article in the National Post on Saturday. You focus on a handful of companies that are superior according to your filters. Of these how would you rank the companies above? And have you any information about them which you would like to add? Thanks for your insights.

Q: Hello 5I team,
Thanks for the great service.

In my TFSA, I hold the following:
AW.UN (15.2%); BPY.UN (4.4%); BYD.UN (15%); DSG (5.3%), EMA (5/5%); ENB (10.3%); GC (4.2%); GUD (0.7%); JWEL (1.9%); KXS (7.5%); PEW.VN (1.6%); SAP (4.5%); SHOP (17.1%); SLF (4.1%); TSGI (2.6%).

I have about 12k to add to the above and I would like your thoughts on which 2 stock I should select from the above and/or any of 2 alternate selections you might suggest, I am interested in positions that would include some dividend growth, some capital appreciation, lower volatility and improved diversification. I note that my weighting in financial and healthcare are least represented currently.

Your suggestions and details for your selections are very much appreciated.

Q: after reading your recent market update, it appears Canadians really aren’t looking to slow down their borrowings, even thought the debt to income net of taxes is an all time high, as this ratio is now like 170 compared to 100 a few years ago.

with regulations getting tougher with the big banks, some Canadians can look to get funding from alternative lenders like Equitable Bank (EQB.TO).

in this economic environment, do you think the timing is right for EQB stock price to stream roll upwards, like bigly over the next few years?
