Q: hi, are you still comfortable with these 2 for longer term holds? also, what are your thoughts on Docebo as a buy at these prices?? and while I am on a question asking roll, what about Palantir??
Q: My son hold these tech stocks and really need to start to invest in US tech stocks as all his holdings are in Canada. He would need to sell some of these holdings to get cash so he could convert to US dollars and then buy 2 US stocks. Which stocks would you sell first and can you provide 2 US that are similar to the stocks that he would sell. He has a RRSP account so no capital gains to worry about. He has 20 years before needing to withdraw.
Thanks
Q: During recent research, I discovered a theory that even in our times of extreme volatility I should seek out companies that exhibit the following characteristics:
1. They have a history of growing dividends for investors.
2. They have a history of growing their earnings.
3. They trade at valuations that make sense.
So, based on these variables, and your years of experience, please provide me with the names of several Canadian companies that have these characteristics.
Q: there is a lot of buzz about "artificial intelligence" and the stocks that are best positioned in this sphere . Would you consider OTEX a good choice?
What others would you you recommend?
Q: Hi Guys
Simply Wall Street, is showing future annual earnings growth at 104.2 %, is this in line with your data? Also can you comment on their declining margins, which i have as 2.7%
I stepped in today for a 1/3 position, what do you think?
Thanks Gord
I have a basket of tech stocks that I am looking to add a few names too. Those already held include CSU, KXS, LSPD, ENGH, CTS, DND, and REAL. What stocks of the ones listed would you add to today for long-term hold? Thanks.
Q: Going through all your portfolios looking for a high(er) growth stock with a dividend >1 that I don't already own. Can you please rate the following on a scale of 1-10 (1 being low) for both growth and risk over the next 12-18 months: MG, SLF, PKI, TFI, CCL, PLC, GSY, OTEX. (I note that all but SLF are currently rated 'strong buy'.) And if you have two clear favourites in the preceding list, I would appreciate those being noted separately. Thank you.
Q: Hello 5I
I am thinking of switching CGI Group (1.05% of portfolio) and OTEX (3.19% of portfolio) for TOPICUS , looking for more growth. TOPICUS also looks like a company that may employ AI going forward in their vertical market software offerings. I am a bit overweight Technology but not concerned about it.
You thoughts please
Thank You
Clarence
Q: Your thoughts on one of these 4 companies for a long term hold over 5 years. Tecsys showed the highest 5 years return among the 4. Do you think that it still has a long way up?
Any other companies in similar fields that you would prefer over these 4 names.
Thank you!
this stock is going up in the last few weeks
approaching $ 60 which could be a new time high
are there any news such as earnings ? or favorable reports?
is it too expensive to jump in? it pays a nice dividend while one waits
Buy more or sell or Hold ?
thanks for the great work
Michael
Q: Would you please rank these tech stocks for a long term buy at current prices, 5+ years, total return, growth-oriented portfolio. Thanks. NVEI, DCBO, ENGH, DND, KXS, OTEX.
Q: I am concerned about 30% of my holdings being in IT and would like to reduce perhaps by half and cover some other sectors for balance. (Just read your year-end article about predicting 2021 - perhaps you would not be concerned about 30% going forward)
What order might you trim / sell these to raise cash?
Much thanks for steering us through a year full of uncertainty.
I have a 2% weighting in technology. I am deploying a lump sum from a real estate sale and so far I've deployed 35% of my total, with 1% each in Kinaxis and Lightspeed, although Lightspeed is now probably a 2% position with its advance. Looking to exchange some money to U.S. dollars and was looking at the Companies above. My target weighting for technology is 14% so I can add a few companies. Which are your favourites? Any others to add to the list?
