Q: In my TFSA currently have BCE, ENB, FTS, TRP, CNR, SLF, BNS and TD - Currently down about 5% in the portfolio. I'm looking to make a change to get some growth in lieu of dividends - what would you recommend keeping and buying.
Thanks

Q: I am doing a bit of spring clean up on my portfolio. My question relates to insurance companies. I have a 3/4 position in Sun Life and 1/2 positions in Manulife and Power Financial. Manulife was purchased for its Asian exposure and Power Financial for its European exposure and its dividend. What insurer would you eliminate and is there a reason to keep more than one Canadian insurer?

Q: Hi Peter and Team
I am retired and have only "passive" income in my company investment portfolio but hold an overweight in financials (>35%) such as GWO
With the new budget proposals, I am considering reducing my high dividend financials and purchasing non dividend companies that have a better growth profile, especially after last month's downturn.
Can you suggest 3 positions that I might consider after trimming the positions in my banks and financials??
Your advice as always appreciated
Peter

Should I add another name?

Q: Greetings,

I have some cash that I am planning on adding to my financial sector weightings - given the 20% fewer mortgages currently being written by the big banks, I suspect this will have some impact to their overall results. Given this and the insurers being cheaper right now, where would you add - the insurers or the banks.

Q: I have a reasonable balance of these stocks in my TFSA. With the pullback, should I add to a laggard or introduce a new one? Open to ETF as well. Long term.
Have great weekend.

Q: My 20year old son has at least 2years of school left and has enough summer income and RESP to cover those years. He has been slowly building a portfolio that mirrors your balanced portfolio. With the take over of AVO his tech weightings are now 33% ( youth seems more comfortable with tech!). I am encouraging him to rebalance. Which do you think has the best 2+ year outlook. ATD.B, SLF, WSP or SJ on the recent pullback. Thank you for all your suggestions, this is a fun kind of “problem” to have!

Q: hi 5i, as a retired couple with your income portfolio, 10% cash and our largest 5 positions above pulling back between 4% and 8% in the last 2 weeks, is now or soon a good time to deploy 5% cash? if so should we add to your income portfolio or add to the above stocks and in what order, best to last or wait for a bottom to form. Thanks so much for your reply. Peter
