Q: It’s becoming increasingly clear Canada is facing challenges on many economic fronts from increasing regulatory burdens, inability to attract foerign capital and sub-national debt at the provincial level. Given that these, among many other, factors make Canada a questionable destination for investment, I’m wondering about your take on what this means going forward. Apart from an increased international focus, are there some Canadian companies doing business in Canada you feel can benefit from a potentially deteriorating economic scenario in Canada. I've recently taken a position in GSY and am considering DOL. Your thoughts on these and other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Q: Good afternoon guys:
I already asked a question about Dollarama, but with the recent price increase the last few days, would it still be good to buy at the current level. Apparently a 3 to 1 stock split is in the works. Could you please comment?
Thank you
Mark

Q: There is competition coming from Japan from a company called Miniso.
Do you think this will hurt DOL?
Will it drop DOL's sales by 10% or so or it will be negligible.
Thanks

Q: Hey guys:
I have been debating whether to establish a position in this name . Every time I am in there with my kids, it is crazy busy. It has been consolidating as of late. Would it be a good time to buy?
Thank you

Q: Greetings 5i,
I sock away a bit of cash for the summer months as i find there is always a few opportunities to pick up a good companies at a discount. I limit this to a small portion of my portfolio but would like your recommendations on your top 5 CDn (growth) and 5 top US Dividend Payers (need US income) that you would pick up on a dip or low volume during the summer months? Last August was a great example of picking up really good names at a discount. I realize there are no guarantees that we will see the same market but always on the lookout to pick good long term names to add to my portfolio. In the past i have picked up Visa, JPM this way.
Thanks for your advice.

Q: Hi, I am trying to raise some cash and reallocate for buying a new position ( TCL.a).
Most of my holdings have done well ( many same as Balanced and a few from Growth 5i Portfolios) with moderate to sizable gains since inception with the exception of above names ( Negative YTD Only). I like the prospects of some of them with portfolio weights TOY (3.5%), SIS (3.5%)and SJ (2%).
BCE and ENB are fairly old holdings with 3.5% weight each and have not been acting well for a while. Over past few months, I have sold all KWH.un and most of ECI
( reduced to 0.75% weight), due to rising rates and other company specific concerns. DOL (1.25% weight).
Will it be reasonable to eliminate ECI and DOL (small positions) and/or reduce BCE/ENB ( BCE more due to muted growth prospects and ENB due to its high debt and pipeline sector concerns).
Thank you for your valued advice.

Q: Your info on DOL is currently showing a P/B of - 65.329. Is it really that cheap?
Q: Own HLF in TFSA and lost 40%. Been moving sideways for quite awhile and think I should walk away and consider replacing with DOL. Do you agree or have a better suggestion?

Q: Hi,
Im looking to raise some cash to put towards spotify and dol (post split) and cant decide what (if any) of my holdings should be sold. Generally Im long term oriented and use all available DRIPS to accelerate. Currently I hold aqn, acb, bns, bep, enb, fb, gsy, gud, nvda, pho, sis, slf, vfv, vgg, vee. Right now, I think Im only down on GUD. Do you think any should be sold for any reason (including too much sectoral overlap, loss of long term value etc.) or should I keep them all and look at just adding fresh cash? What do you think about looking to add spotify and dol?
Thanks!

Q: My portfolio has gotten very International over the past several years and I was wondering if you could give me a number of non resource names that you would consider Canadian core holdings - stocks that everyone should own. I already own BAM.a, NTR, AQN, ATD.b, TRP, SHOP, BIP.un, DOL and CNR. Thank you
Q: With Dollarama breaking below $150 today (March 9) do you believe this is a good time to get in or do I wait to see how much lower it can go. Also how do you see this stock as an RSP investment with how many years to hold? Please and thanks.
