Q: Hi team;
Any reason for the weakness in Canadian names today ? Namely the mentioned names for example, especially Gsy? Gsy down 10% in 2 days seems a bit drastic. Is there concern here or a bit the dip opportunity?

Q: Hello Peter and Team. I am about to open a new TFSA account with almost 100K. Time frame of 5-8 years. Could you please recommend 4-6 growth/income stocks with 1or 2 ETF’s?

Q: The last few days Prl hit new high after new high and then retreated same day. Today Nvda hit intra day ATH of $140.89,then dropped back to close at $ 136.58 & the other day reached $139.60(close to $140+high) before retreated. Please advise the meaning of above 2 actions.Txs for U usual great views & services

Q: Greetings 5i team,
I hold these seven companies in my TFSA in roughly equal amounts. I would like to add WELL to my TFSA. Would it be wise to shave a bit from all of the companies listed in order to do so?
Or, do you see a better solution to achieve this (ie. SELL one / two of the other positions in favour of WELL)?

Q: I own PRL shares and am happy with their performance. The shares have risen rapidly over the past year and I wonder if shares, either a partial or full position, should be sold. I have seen some data that shows very rapid growth in EPS over the next couple of years .Can you provide key metrics over the next two years that would support your position on this company. Also over this period what would be a reasonable multiple of earnings for the shares? If possible could you factor in its recent acquisition. Thanks.

Q: Hey 5i, the 5 stocks above are favoirites of DKAM and I'm thinking about putting a few in my TFSA. Now the problem is Jason Donville loves all of them but I'm sure 5i probably could tell me if they would rank some above the others? Thanks for your help. Cheers

Q: not a question; just information........and a request

i get it, we're all in it to make money yet this company would make a loan shark blush


check out their site "creditfresh"

borrow $1,500 and pay back monthly (from website)

month 1 - $184 'billing cycle charge' and $30 (2% of principal) for a total of $214
month 2 - $184 fee + $29.40 principal
month 3 - $184 fee + $28.81

etc etc etc

it 'appears' that if you let this run the full 48/50 months you would have paid $5,070 in fees

i would be curious if another member can run the numbers and confirm or explain where i went wrong

Q: I recently sold my NVEI shares (basically broke even over the highs and lows) and have some cash to deploy in my TFSA. I am looking for recommendations on some growth stocks (US or CDN) for 3-5 year hold minimum that have good prospects. I already own PRL and LMN and was thinking about ARM, AVGO, and NVDA. However, is it too late for these stocks due to their impressive gains over the last couple of years. Any other stocks to consider? Thanks for your feedback.

Q: Simply Wall Street has GSY undervalued by 49.4% with earnings forecast to grow by 17.09% per year. Whereas they have PRL overvalued by 54.4% with earnings forecast to grow by 38.3% per year. They also have GLXY at 78.9% undervalued and earnings forecast to grow by 14.66% per year ......First question. Do you concur with these numbers ? Second question. Which one do you prefer and why ? Q: Hi team,
Is the 10% drop in PRL shares a buying opp today? As usual in the market these drops make little sense mathematically speaking the offer of 100 million in shares on a company with over 1 billion market cap should theoretically not drop all the way back to offer price . Same thing happened to HPS a couple days ago. If the deal was good; which no reason to doubt it won’t be if you trust the company , then it seems like a gift to buy shares in the dip on days like today. Or what am I missing here ?

Q: Just a comment. Quite some time ago GSY was trading around $90 and issued a huge number of shares significantly under 90. The deal sold out plus the over allotment. The market price dropped of course on high volume. I realized that the firm buying the shares were fully expecting that the value of GSY hence the share price would go well beyond $90.
I apply the same thoughts to PRL
