1. Convert funds to USD and invest in US currency?
2. Invest in CAD hedged ?
3. Invest in CAD unhedged?

Please suggest the ETF's based on the total return in next 5+ years.

Q: Tax question if you allow ( I acknowledge you are not tax advisors and that I am solely responsible). CRA form T1135 includes a column showing realized gain (loss) in Canadian $. The amounts I calculate after adjusting for purchases and sales made at different dates and after adjusting for commissions charged by brokers for Forex conversions , I arrive at a lower realized gain. The difference is not really for the “Outlays and Expenses” box in the T5008 in TurboTax software. Does it matter that I have a lower capital gain than the amounts shown in the T1135 ? Or do I need to report the exact amounts shown in the T1135? Thanks.

Q: Could 5i speculate on the current volatility of gold ? I'm not buying the " Investors are in a sell everything mood " argument ..... Investors are selling Mr Market because of the tariffs and gold " should " be exactly where they head to . The price of gold is unaffected by tariffs ......

As well as speculating on the reason " why " could 5i speculate on how long you feel the volatility in gold will continue? ..... I tend to think gold should continue it's upward rise once investors figure out that it is unaffected by tariffs and look for a safer haven ....... But I trust 5i's analysis more than my own ..... Q: Good morning! After the dust settles will Propel, TeraVest and Nebius still be considered a solid investment for a 10 year hold? Would any of these be classified as a compounder and therefore a buy and forget type of investment? Where would they place on the risk scale with 10 being a high risk?

Q: Hi - as the US has been a stronger market for the last couple of years, a large portion of my portfolio is USD. With the recent economic turmoil in the US and the resultant effect on their dollar, would you consider holding some ETF's in currencies such as the British Pound, Euro and Canadian dollar? My portfolio is heavily weighted in cash, as I hope to be able to wait on the sidelines till we see a buyable bottom, vs get whipsawed based on the latest idea from the 'Village Idiot'. As always, I welcome you thoughts!
