Q: I received the latest dividend for WDS-N and it was $0.78 US$ in my RRSP account however the declared dividend by the company was $0.80 US$. Is there any explanation for this? Also in my brokerage account under Income details it stated that the dividend for September 28th was $0.80 US$ per share.
Thanks in advance.
Brendan

Q: I have a fairly balanced portfolio and $20,000 cash in my one of my RRIF accounts. It is invested in TD8150 and currently paying 4.6% interest.
I also hold some shares of ENB in the same account and noticed that the dividend is now ~7.8%
What is your opinion of using the cash to buy ENB... better dividend and opportunity for some capital gain..!

Q: We are dividend investors in our late 70’s. We derive most of our income from dividends. Recently we sold about 200,000. Worth of Enbridge and are looking to reinvest. We have short listed some companies above and would like your opinion on them. Also if you have any other suggestions we would welcome your ideas. We are looking for solid companies with a good dividend that also increase their dividends.

Q: If I am strictly interested in income, is there any reason to buy a GIC at 5.75% when I can get 13 to 15% from umax and hmax distributed monthly? Also are these products fairly safe over the long term. Thx, James
Q: The debt to equity of the company is 220% is this not a concern with the higher interest rates?
Q: I recently noticed that I had been given Rights by Constellation software which ended on Sept 28. I have done nothing about these Rights, so will there be any consequences, tax or otherwise that I did not exercise them. I am confused what these Rights meant and I had not looked at my account for a while, so I must have missed the information. Can you explain what I should have done and if there are any tax consequences of having done nothing. Thank you

Q: Hi there, with all the buzz about fixed income, Gics, bonds etc. I feel like maybe I should be increasing my exposure in my RRSP. I am retired and definitely have a diversified portfolio more slanted toward div paying solid equity companies.
I know you can’t give personal advice but what might be a good way to tweak my portfolio to increase fixed income exposure for 5-10 years ie gic or bond ladder, ETFs, individual bonds or?
Or should I stay in dividends and forget about it?
Ok thank you!

Q: What do you think of Khols investment in Sephora ? With the big spend mostly behind them now. Koyfin shows EPS $2.93 in 2025, and $3.54 in 2026. Is there to much competition out there in what they sell ?
Trading at 0.6x book, cant be any worse on a Risk/Reward basis than the high growth tech stocks have been, knowing all along the repercussions on the price of those stocks, when it seemed logical that rates would continue to rise.
