Q: Good Afternoon

I currently hold TEAM(even), VEEVE(-10%) TRADEDESK(-10%),CROWDSTRIKE (-35%) and UNITY(-75%). Each of these positions make up less than 2% of my portfolio. Unfortunately there are no tax losses applicable. If you were to consolidate which ones would you keep or in turn what would you buy as a replacement

Q: Dear 5i,
In regards to Horizons Corporate Class ETF's.
The tax efficiency of these ETF's seem very attractive for taxable accounts.
What are the key risks of holding these products other than market risk?
Is it basically the chance that the Canadian government might change tax legislation for these type of products? If this is the case do you think it is a low probability since it could trigger massive tax liabilities for Horizons and Mutual Fund companies that offer this corporate class structure?

Q: I hold APPS in a USD portion of my TFSA (unfortuneatly) and am thinking to cut my losses. Do you think there would be better candidates that APPS could be swapped for at this time?

Q: Thanks to strong performance largely from CSU and KXS, I am both overweight in Tech and also have outsized positions in both - CSU along with the spin offs is ~13% of total now.

While I like to let the winners run this position feels too oversized and would appreciate considerations around taking some earnings off here . Since I am also underweight in Industrials, Utilities, and Healthcare what would be good long term options here (I'm 41) to transition into?

I hold BAM, Bank of Nova Scotia, Leon’s, GDI and Lightspeed. I have held these stock for years and each position makes up about 1-2 % of my portfolio. I am looking for a bit more torque. Can you suggest a consolidation candidate or perhaps one of Shop, Descartes , Doo or one you prefer better. Thank you

Q: Hi, I have held Teck for many years and watched the stock linger much below my purchase price for years. I am now finally up 30%. I did buy it for diversification in my portfolio which is heavy on dividend payers such as financials, pipes, telecoms, utilities.
I am now much older and retired and need to be more conservative with my investments. Would you advise selling on this price, the highest on the 20 year chart, or hold on to catch proceeds of the planned spinoff of EVR? Teck is held in a registered account.

Q: Re: Kinaxis KXS and Descartes DSG: I have owned these two Canadian tech stocks for getting onto a decade and have done well with both. My question: at their current valuations are they still a buy? KXS is up 21% this year and DSG 16%. They both have an RSI of 61, high but not crazy high. Thanks for your thoughts!

I was interested in this statement in the article:

He has guaranteed investment certificates (GICs), including one that pays out $20,000 a month.

Would you know the details on this GIC?

I would like to know if I could purchase a GIC that pays out monthly, sound interesting?

Could a average person purchase it or is it for high net worth individuals?

For a 3 year hold, in what order might you considering buying these stocks today? If (theoretically) you already held CRWD and were losing patience waiting for its share price to rebound, might you swap it for one of the other two stocks listed or hang in?

Q: You have generally been positive on QCOM but the share price seems to be range bound. Do you see prospects for the price to move? Any catalyst in sight? I own it as well as Nvidia; is there much duplication there? I am considering switching out of QCOM into CRM; can you please comment on this idea. Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: I am an income investor and hold equal weighting in all 5 big banks. I’m looking at the quite larger than normal yield spread between RY and BMO and TD and am thinking of either halving or even fully selling my RY position to add to BMO and TD. Someday when the spreads go back to being much closer, I would likely repurchase RY. Do you see anything wrong with this logic? Would you prefer one of TD or BMO for such a move? Half or full position? I’ve held RY for a long time, thus my little bit of doubt!
