Q: How would you rank in terms of 5-year prospects from current levels?

Q: Greetings 5i,

Can you rank in a list the top5 Canadian Banks, top 3 Life Companies, and 2 Telcos in order of preferance for purchasing today for longer term hold.

Can you briefly outline your reasons as to why you ranked the Lifecos as you did in comparison to the others on the list.

Q: Good day,

I am looking for a good (over-priced) US stock to for a Put spread - one where the premium (implied volatility) is reasonable. I had a Put spread on TSLA, but got out of it when they announced the spilt (as those options, post-split, go to the liquidity wasteland). Thanks

ps. I would prefer a US stock, but if that is not doable, then CDN will do. Thx

Q: Hi Peter,

If you owned the BE portfolio but wanted to add to and diversify the commodity holdings (beyond AEM and SU), what 1-3 securities would you add? Canadian stocks and ETFs only, please.

Q: I have held CWW for some time, believing that water issues are becoming a more critical global issue and that the diversification of an ETF would be a better approach. I realize the market, including industrials, has been difficult this year but have been somewhat surprised at the extent of the drop in CWW's share price. I note that you had rated it only as "Good" in a question asked by another member recently. In your opinion, are there better ways to approach investing in the water theme ?

Q: I sold TTD and AMZN to realize a tax loss more than 30 days ago and I know that I can buy them back today with no issues. I bought ROKU and SHOP respectively as proxies a week later with the proceeds. They are both down (I guess things don't always work out!). The first question is can I sell both of these and claim a tax loss despite my not having owned them for 30 days?

Secondly, I am assuming you would recommend buying AMZN back (not that you don't like SHOP) but would you still re-purchase TTD? Does APPS offer a potentially better return? Or might you stay the course with ROKU? It appears to me that these companies are similar businesses.

Appreciate your insight.

I bought BAM.A at $63.00 and would like your opinion on averaging down at some point
I hold this stock in my RRIF and TFSA.
I am invested in the Balanced ETF Portfolio complimented with Canadian blue chip stocks for income and growth.
