Q: I have been holding to hardwood distribution for almost 5 years now and i'm off 24 %. Should I continue too old to it ? I was thinking about selling it and buy New Flyer industries with the dividend at 6% now. If you have a better suggestion for another company, fell free to suggest ! Thanks

Q: i bave large positions in both companies.
gsy is cheap, beats earnings every quarter, increase their dividend, return on equity approaching 30% , target increased to 85, yet does not seem to get much love.
lspd is a momentum stock increasing revenue by huge amounts, everyone loves the company, no earnings.
i know completely different companies but why such a discrepancy. is it because gsy is a subprime lender.

Q: I looked at Morningside Quant Reports Thompson Reuters Reports and other stats on the above stocks and found the following:
TSGI. 16% Discount Undervalued. PEG .47 Moderate Buy/Buy ratings from 6 analysts

NFI. 26% Discount Undervalued 9X P/E Moderate Buy/Buy Rating 6.2% Yield , 4 analysts

COV. 47% Discount Undervalued. 0 analysts

MX. Significantly Undervalued 7.5 P/E., PEG .11 Moderate Buy/ Hold Rating, 4.34% Yield, 9 Analysts.

SU. 21% Discount, Significantly Undervalued 10.5 P/E, 7.24 PEG, Moderate Buy/Buy Rating 4.44% Yield 15 Analysts

PHO. 35% Discount, Undervalued. 15.2 P/E, Strong Buy/Buy Rating, 3 analysts.

What value do you place on Quantitative Reports as compared to other analyses? How useful are they? Are the above stocks overdone on the downside primarily due to recent global markets uncertainty or because of their own performance. The above stocks seem to have been severely re-evaluated. The idea of exiting a falling position is to eventually replace it with a position with better upside and less risk which seems to be the challenging bit. Your comments and opinions please.

Q: FYI. 2 articles in The Van Sun on RAY.A. E Boyko, its ceo has a vision to become the biggest music streaming co. in the world. He has 2 main policy concerns. Our government should have a policy of buying local. He dislikes Finance Minister's plan to tax stock options more heavily, even thogh the government indicated that fast growing cos like RAY.A will be exempt. 2nd article states that Bombardier & SNC are being replaced in the public's consciousness by digital economy outfits such as RAY.A, LSPD & Stradigi AI,all of which talk about becoming world leaders, but without the sort of heavy government support received by older champions of Quebec Inc. RAY.A has risen $1.09 since Aug 6 Q results.

Q: I hold the above in my TFSA. I treat my TFSA as part of a total portfolio so although each is about 20% of my TFSA, my overall weight for each is 3% in my total portfolio. Needless to say my TFSA has not performed well this year. Each of these companies (Except for ZQQ) seems to have lost significant value this past year. 5i seems to still like these names but I am starting to think that they are going the same path as some previous darlings of 5i. So my question is: with a 5 year outlook, should I continue to be patient or sell any of these and move on.
By the way, I did ask a question last week and voiced my opinion on some comments....never got a reply??

Q: As I start my 6th 16-year-old grandchild off on his investing journey with $500, I am writing to ak if you have a suggestion for a growth stock to complement half of the total invested in conservative BCE. He is hoping - at very long odds - to match his older (now 18 with an account in his own name) brother who chose SHOP to go along with BCE. I know this is a tough challenge, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob.
