Your opinion on below statement on Nutrien please. Is this positive for NTR and will support slide ? What will be the impact?
Canadian fertilizer giant Nutrien will auction its 23.77-per-cent share in Chile´s SQM on Dec. 3, the Chilean stock exchange said on Wednesday, a final step toward completing the sale of a coveted stake in the world´s No. 2 lithium producer to China´s Tianqi.
In a statement, the local stock exchange said the minimum bid would be set at $65 per share, for a total package price of $4.066 billion.

Q: Hi,
Thanks always for your advice, it's been very helpful.
Part of my investing strategy is to hold company shares (where possible) in AST or Computershare so I can use the dripping programs for the tax break. I am down drastically with CJR.B - should I sell and move on? Also, I hold ENB, NTR and PPL all of which have suspended their drip programs. Are they worth holding, so I can do something with the cash dividends or should I move on from them. All of my moving on would be to purchase other companies that drip.
thanks
michele

Q: Hi 5i,
Your list of Canadian companies paying US$ dividends needs updating. Agrium and Potash Corp (both on the list) have become Nutrien (NTR), which still pays a dividend in US$. Cheers!

Q: Hi Peter, Can you advise your 5-6 best candidates for covered call strategy, Thanks
Q: Would nutrien be a beneficiary of supplying fertilizer to the marijuana industry or is that just Scott miracle grow and are they a good buy.
Q: NTR pays about 3% yield, forecasted growth in earnings, and dominant in it's sector...so it's more a income with growth stock. If it was held in a (5iR like) income portfolio, what weighting would you suggest, like 3%, 4% or 5%.?
Q: Can you please come up with a stragety for money for a prolonged Midwest drought?
Q: Nutrien intend to sell shares of Chilean lithium producer Sociedad Quimica Y Minera (SQM) to ChinaTianqi Lithium Corp worth $4B. Do you see that as a good deal? How big will be the impact on balance sheet (debt), I suppose will have to pay taxes on the gain?
Q: I would appreciate your opinion on these two companies.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Nutrien Ltd. (NTR)
Q: I hold Teck and Nutrien with the balance of my resource holdings in XMA. I have an equal amount of funds in each. I am considering selling XMA to purchase LIF. I know this will give me less diversity, but Teck and Nutrien are major weights in XMA which is otherwise heavy in gold stocks with low dividends and weak growth. At least LIF would give me decent dividends. What do you think? Thanks.
Q: Hello -
I'm looking to add some Canadian large cap stocks that pay their dividends in USD into my USD account. I believe NTR, MG, and TRI are three to consider. Are there any more that you may be aware of?
Thanks.

Q: Hello Team -
My understanding is that in a rising inflation environment, commodities tend to also generally rise. If we see a gradual increase inflation over the next 12-24 months would you expect to see the NTR and TOU stock prices also rise as a result?
Thanks.
Jim
