Q: Morning guys:
This name has been a roller coaster ride since I got into this . My average cost is 37 and change. I also own great Canadian gaming and I’m down a lot as well . Are u guys confident that throughout the volatility of both names I will be rewarded in five years time just sitting tight and dollar cost averaging into both names .
Thank u
Mark

Q: Hello Peter, I called in BNN market call but could not ask the question. Good show.
Question is about adding new money on a regular basis. What do you suggest adding to - positions that are lagging ( and thus are at the lower weight now - some listed above) or picking ones with most attractive outlook (from fundamental perspective).
Can you please suggest top 2-3 names in each portfolio at this time.
Thanks

Q: On August 8, 2018, Peter Hodsons Top Picks on Market Call were Covalon Technologies, now down 78%; Spin Master, now down 23% and Stingray Digital, now down 17%. This doesn't give me much confidence in the recommendations made by 5i Research.

Q: Hi Team,
Could you please provide your take on the US Fed's recent interventions in the repurchase (repo) sector (overnight money loans). I understand this likely means the US Federal Reserve will resume buying more Treasury debt, expanding its balance sheet (a.k.a. quantitative easing). I don't fully appreciate what this means but am curious if you have any opinion on its significance to Canadian investors and their portfolios.
Many thanks, Michael

Q: Hi,

I'm looking for another lo volatility, long term dividend payer with some growth like AQN, which I own. I also own TD and RY. Can you pick two choices for me from the above list? (as there are so many different offerings from BEP and BIP, I hope these are the correct ones? If not please suggest the better choice.)

Q: Hi All at 5i! Tracy Britt Cool is one of Warren Buffett right hand people. She is leaving Berkshire to start her own investment company , similar to Berkshire, but handling smaller cap stocks. Do you know if this investment company has been established yet? I have been looking but can’t seem to find any information. Your assistance would be appreciated. Cheers, Tamara

Q: Hello, I sold Descartes DSG quite a while back when you indicated that it was very expensive (and kept Enghouse ENGH), now that you have added DSG to the portfolio I'm wondering if I should sell ENGH and buy DSG back. Or are they 6 of one and half a dozen of the other going forward. In balancing my portfolio I trimmed some CSU because it was up around 17%, so now I do not want to invest in a much lesser quality technology company with the proceeds. Second somewhat related part to this question: I once owned QST, MCR, and BAD and sold them also quite a while ago. Now that you have renewed interest in them and added them to the portfolios I'm feeling a bit reluctant to add them back, I guess because I once sold them. Obviously you have renewed confidence in them. And I'm trying to keep to my principle of following the portfolios. Can you help me regain confidence in these three names. Thanks for great service, as always.

Q: Would appreciate your view on this etf as a long term hold for some relative safety and income using US dollars. Secondly what would you suggest as a Canadian dollar version of this etf holding a similar array of US large caps with a similar yield and low mer - would you recommend these for purchase or another pair instead - finally would you suggest averaging in for a fairly aggressive portfolio percentage (as high as 20%) or just buy and hold given the holdings -all the best - Ken

Q: It is my understanding that ZST.L does not pay out any interest or dividends but rather reinvests them. If that is the case, when one eventually sells their holdings would the gain in share price be treated as a capital gain instead of interest or dividends?
Looking at both PSA and ZST.L, apart from the face one pays out regularly and the other does not, does one stand out as a better place to park some cash to you?

Q: Hi Peter & 5i,
I have these US ETF's in an RRSP, is there any duplication here, if so, could you suggest an alternative. As always
I do appreciate your input.
Thanks
