Q: Good morning gang
I am thinking of tax loss but also that that these may? fall more with tax loss season approaching. I am down on VET - 50%, SYZ - 14%, PBH - 15%, and SIS 17% in on of my non Registered accounts. (as of today Sep 18). Which, if not all would you sell and which would you buy back in 30 plus days ( or more depending on tax loss time and the depth of selling)
Thanks for all you do to keep me on track

Q: Greetings 5i team,
Further to the question posed by Jean concerning competition and LSPD, I see in today's Globe that OMERS has just made a large tech financing (100m) into what seems to be another competitor for LSPD (Toronto's TouchBistro). Your comments please?

Q: It was reported that during the month of August, Adam Gray, a director, invested over $34 million into New Flyer at an average price of $26.78. This is a rather significant investment and while the stock is up about 10% since then, I may have thought that an investment of this size would have had a greater impact. Am I underestimating the rise of 10% or is there something more at work here that is keeping the share pcrie down? I have always thought that insider buying was one fo the strongest buy signals you could get.
Appreciate your insight.

Q: In a question from Gord yesterday you suggested INO.UN as REIT that would provide investment in Germany and France. It is a small cap with a very high yield which leads me to request your assessment on the risk assessment of this company. Is the company higher risk, given it's small size and investment in Europe. Also, how safe is the dividend at it's current lofty level?
Q: Hello, I'd like your thoughts on IMXI please.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: can you give us your latest thought s on this co. given the upcoming sale and the share level? Thanks as always
Q: What are your thoughts on this stock moving forward. I saw they recovered all the money lost from the cyber security breach and sold some non core assets. The balance sheet looks pretty good to me with some likely near term acquisitions. Thanks
Q: Since this REIT has now been sold what recommendation do you have to replace my position.
Q: FDX just reported some weak numbers. I own some shares in the company. The stock will be down today substantially based on their first quarter earnings miss and weak forecast. Would you continue to hold the shares here or switch to another company with better growth prospects. Could you please provide some rationale for your position. Thanks.
Q: Some analysts of the stock list equity dilution as a risk to shareholders looking forward. What could be the cause(s) of significant equity dilution. Does their strategy for expansion in aircraft leasing call for serial stock issuing or ?

Q: It has been noted that AD is fighting CRA on their taxes for the last ten years and that a potential tax reform problem with the US is present as per the statement below in the MD&A for Q2 2019.
“In December of 2018 the U.S. Treasury issued proposed regulations which provided administrative guidance and clarified certain aspects of U.S. Tax Reform. The proposed regulations are complex and comprehensive, and considerable uncertainty continues to exist until the final regulations are released, which is expected to occur later in 2019. As these proposed regulations have not been enacted as at June 30, 2019, their impact has not been reflected in income tax expense. However, if the proposed regulations are enacted as currently drafted, certain provisions could be effective commencing January 1, 2019. Based on the Corporation’s current capital structure, the resulting increase to income tax expense of the Company for the period ended, June 30, 2019 would be an increase of approximately $5.5 million.”
Are you aware of any cash provisions the company made for this?
Would appreciate your analysis on both these potential tax implications.
As always much appreciated
Thank-you

Q: I liked the concept of this company and hold some shares that just seem to bounce between 2.10 and 2.50.
Is the company improving?
New accounts/assets? In many countries local currency is a wild ride, you would think this would appeal to them or are there easier ways of solving the same problem and this company is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist?
Thanks.

Q: 3 part question
1. Are the dividends paid by AW.UN and BEP.UN eligible for the Canadian dividend tax credit ?
2. How safe would you consider the above 7 dividends stocks given the large payout ratios?
3. Do you favor calculating payout ratios using free cash flow?
Thanks
Jeff

Q: Hello 5i team,
How does Enerflex look at these price levels and metrics for an entry point ?
I read that much of their business is U.S and Global based, so less exposed to Canada.
