Q: I am trying to get as much FAAMG content as possible and comparing the two ETFs, they seem very similar but MGK has less volume but a lower MER. Would you have a clear favorite between the two? Thanks

- INVESCO QQQ Trust (QQQ)
Q: Looking to add BAM.A and SHOP to the porffolio, which would you add first for a youngish investor in a TFSA? Is BAM.A going to be in the dog house for years to come? Does SHOP still have a long runway or have new investors largely missed the boat? Should one wait for a pull back on SHOP before stepping in? Also, considering the added cost of currency conversion, is there any reason to choose QQQ over HXS for in a TFSA? HXS is smaller, but is that much of an issue for retail investors? Please deduct credits as you see fit.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: I have $40,000 US to invest for 5 -10 years. With half of that amount I would like to buy about four equity-based ETFs for capital appreciation. Some I have read about include QQQ , BBH, and VGT. Are these good choices? Please add other recommendations.
For the other half, I would like more income based ETFs with a sensible degree of risk, such as VIG. Please add other recommendations.
I am not interested in Canadian based ETFs but International based ETFs would be alright.
I do no previous experience with ETFs.

Q: My outlook on the market is that there is a lot more downside risk than upside potential. I am thinking to use bull and bear ETF's to reduce market risk in a pair trade of sorts. For example, go long NASDAQ (QQQ) and short S&P (SH). The other one I'm thinking about is long investment grade (LQD) and short high yield (SJB). What do you think of the strategy generally? Secondly, what is your opinion on my choices?
Q: With an outlook that there is substantially more downside risk than upside potential in the markets, does it make sense to set up some pairs trades to reduce market risk. I don't short stocks, so I was thinking to use bull and bear ETF's. I had in mind (1) long NASDAQ (QQQ) / short Russell (RWM) and (2) long Investment Grade Bonds (LQD) / short High Yield (SJB). First of all, what do you think of the strategy and second, do my selections seems reasonable? Thanks for your valued advice.
Q: Is it better to own QQQ and pay the extra fees for converting Can to US dollars through my broker ( TD ) or buy hxq, znq even though they have small market caps and have low trading volumes? Both seem to have better performance over the last year than QQQ.
Thanks, Michael
Thanks, Michael

Q: With the level of debt monetization, fiat currencies are becoming concerning. I was considering contributing new money into my TFSA, but transferring the funds to a US TFSA, and investing directly into US securities instead of CDN.
Even with getting hit with the currency exchange rate and paying applicable withholding taxes within this account, would you recommend this or see any advantage to this, or would you prefer investing in Canadian hedged funds (i.e XQQ vs QQQ) instead?
Many thanks,
Tom
