Q: I am moving my TFSA (~$75,000) from a mutual fund company to Questrade and would like to invest following your 5i Growth portfolio. My horizon is 7 to 10 years. Being a new DIY investor, I am not sure of the number of stocks to purchase based on the size of my TFSA. Could you please suggest the number of stocks to buy, and a cross-section of specific growth stocks at this time? Thanks!

Q: I have held LSPD and GSY for quite a while now in an RRSP and RESP respectively with still 10 plus year timelines on those portfolios. I purchased LSPD at about $33 (it's now around $90) and GSY at about $50 (it's over $100 now) and I have taken some profits out along the way. Do you see these two continuing to do really well? I'm wondering if you would recommend just holding onto my remaining shares for the foreseeable future (say another 1-3 years) or would it make sense to sell while ahead and put that money in something with a bit more growth potential? Q: Hi, could you please provide a list of your highest conviction Canadian growth stocks. Any sector will do but the stocks you feel most certain will deliver good growth in most market environments. Not necessarily looking to blow the lights out, steady growth will do. Thanks.

Q: In your answer to a question recently asked on Genomics, your suggestion was to buy an ETF such as ARKG or EAGB. You also mentioned that if so inclined you could start adding small amounts in specific stocks which of course be riskier. Would you be able to suggest 3 or 4 of these stocks either US or Canadian, preferably at least one of each.

Q: Hi Folks,

I am an income investor whose portfolio has fallen out of balance.

I need to increase weights in Basic Materials, Consumer Cyclical, Consumer Defensive, Healthcare, Industrials and Tech..

I am also light on U.S and International holdings.

Please provide some income suggestions for these industries and within these regions.

Q: I own DCBO and I’m wondering what your thoughts are on the company. I have about a 1/2 position and because it has taken quite a drop lately I’m wondering whether this is an opportunity to add to it or should I hold off until the quarter earnings come out. Has anything changed lately, why the drop? What is your opinion of this company.

Second question—WELL has kind of slowed down in the last three months even though they have purchased one or two companies. Could you give me your opinion whether it would be a good time to add another 1/2 position. What are your thoughts on well?

Q: Looking for growth companies to increase returns on my portfolio. I have chosen these four companies knowing fully well they can be volatile. Are there any reasons you wouldn't buy any one of them at these levels? My intention is to buy them as a 'growth basket'. If you think others might have more potential, please feel free to suggest them.
