Q: Do you have a favourite momentum ETF. Global or US?

Q: Hello, would like to know for total returns of these ETFs (ZWC, ZWU, CNCC, HCAL, ZSP, VCN, VE, XGRO, VEQT, XBAL) which is your favorite in order for each and in which account type is each best suited for. Also please give me your number 1 top pick of all Canadian listed ETFs for each account type.

In our various portfolios, we own DIVO, SCHD and MTUM. MOAT is not owned. I've done a fairly deep dive trying to compare the 4 etf's as I'd like to consolidate some of our single companies eg. MRK, LMT etc etc into ETFs to simplify things, and in the case of the RRIFs, to enhance yield. By my metrics, DIVO seems to come out on top on a risk/reward basis and a good balance of yield with growth. I've included MOAT as I'm interested in the concept (but not sold on the ETF). Can you confirm my findings? Would you agree, or what could you add to my findings? Is there a source (Morningstar does a good job, but not great) that would allow me to better compare risk/return of the listed etf's?
I realize there are a few questions here: take as many credits as necessary to answer as I have a lot banked.

Q: Hello, I just read an excellent article in today’s Globe & Mail written by Norm Rothery. He discussed how a momentum investing strategy has significantly beat benchmark indexes for many years. I would not be able to run the numerous screens and perform the frequent rebalancing that this strategy requires. Are there any Canadian ETFs that follow a US or Canadian momentum investing strategy? Q: I am looking for a US etf with long term growth. This in order to balance out the over-weighted Canadian portfolio of blue chip dividend stocks. This investment is long term, no short term plans for this allocation and do not want dividends for tax efficiency. This question applies to both RRSP and non registered accounts. Q: I was reviewing Vanguard's VFMO ETF and comparing it to iShares MTUM ETF. These two momentum ETFs use very different approaches. Which approach do you feel is best for a long-term investor? Is there any other US momentum ETF which you prefer to these two?

Q: Luckily, I went to cash on most of my US holdings in Feb, but kept some VIG, thinking it would survive better than others. That has not really been true and I notice that it does not bounce as much on an up day as one like VIS, which also pays a higher yield. As I start picking away at re-building my US portfolio, what 3 ETF's would you recommend?

Please provide your guidance on US based ETF's that you believe could be a buy now, and perhaps others that could be placed on a watch list pending a market adjustment or a new developing trend line. Goals would be moderate growth (lean towards safety) with a steady and growing dividend. I currently hold VIG and would want to expand my US based exposure.
