Q: Hi team. I'm recently retired , but am ok with some growth and volatility. I'm looking to reduce the number of holdings (currently have 30).

I have these 6 financials. Which 1 or 2 would you be inclined to sell?

Likewise, of these 4 material companies, which 1 would you sell?

Q: I am somewhat overweight in gold and thinking of starting a rotation away as buyers keep flooding in. Gradual rotation since longterm support for gold still looks good. Which of the above would start with (assuming half positions are kept for now)?

Q: Can I get your general thoughts about gold and silver please. Broadly speaking gold is in a fairly new bull market, which tend to last many years once they start. Silver is just about to print its highest quarterly close ever (45 years in the making), and is within striking distance of all time highs.

For the last ~15 years it's been a fools errand to have much exposure to the sector, what do you think is an appropriate weighting for precious metals? Are you bullish on gold and silver?

What are your top 3 picks for gold exposure, and top 3 for silver exposure? Thanks!

Q: Good morning- I notice that in recent questions about gold companies, EQX is not amongst your favourites. I hold EQX and AEM. Would I be better off selling EQX and either adding to AEM or a different company? If so, which do you suggest? Many thanks

Q: Hi Peter and 5i Team,

I need to raise some cash and plan to sell/reduce in a non-registered account to accomplish this. Of the stocks and ETFs addressed in this question, please rank them in the order that YOU would sell/reduce, starting with the ones to sell/reduce first. If any holdings are an outright sell, please indicate. For example, we've held BYD for a long time and have a decent gain, but it's short-term performance has faltered somewhat.

Q: Dear Peter et al:

I hold 2 out of 3 of your favourite Gold stocks. (AEM&FNV.) Didn't pull the trigger on WPM your other favourite Gold stock, on a timely fashion,

My question is this: Would you buy WPM now OR would you buy a mid cap/Junior Golds at this stage. What are your favourites in Mid/Junior tier Golds? (Similar to AEM/FNV/WPM)
The plan is hold these stocks till the deficit mess is at least partially controlled in the US. Judging by your various answers, you are still comfortable with Gold 5-10%. Hence this question.

Q: Ross Healy, who typically does not make sensational statements lightly, spooked me yesterday during a podcast interview with Amber Kanwar. He sees tech stocks dropping 60% which will invariably pull other types of stocks down for the ride. He suggests moving to gold... could you suggest a couple gold stocks with strong balance sheets? A mix of large, mid and small caps would be great. Thanks!

Q: Hi,

I bought these two stocks at the same time, last March.
The Cdn WPM gained 17% since, while the U.S. WPM gained more than 22%. Could you explain why ?

Thus, in considering buying SKE, is it better to use the U.S. market ?

Q: The price of Gold reversed today after touching an all time high of $3500 and closed lower, below $3400, in Tuesday's session. Gold miners also followed suit and reversed course mid day to close lower, after opening higher at the open. Do you think, this price action is important from technical perspective and signalling a near term Top for Gold ?

Today's comments from the US Treasury Secretary appear to have triggered a relief rally in equity markets and perhaps was one of the reasons, Gold/Gold equities ( safe haven) performed poorly.

Are you concerned with this price action and would recommend cutting Gold exposure ?

Q: Would you please provide your top four precious metal investments in relatively safe jurisdictions? I already hold PAAS, AEM, FNV and a small amount of bullion. I would like to diversify a little more in this sector.
