Q: Hi,

I have about 8% of my portfolio in WPM, LUN, DPM and FCX. Wondering if you think I should add 3% in steel?

If so, which US or CDN companies would you recommend? STDL seems to have the best long term returns but I've heard their earning are expected to go down next year?

Q: I hold FNV, KRR and AEM for gold exposure. I am thinking of selling FNV after the news related to their royalty stream in Panama. How material is this for FNV? Do you feel this will be an overhang on the stock in the next few months? I am hopeful for a little run in gold in the next few months and i am concerned FNV will not participate due to this news. If selling FNV, what do you recommend to compliment my other 2 holdings?

Q: Currently reviewing my precious metals exposure. In my royalty companies I have a full position in FNV and MMX. Would you hold MMX with the pending purchase by TFPM or would you sell and buy WPM at this time? In my gold miners, I have half positions in VGCX and NEM (position resulted from the Goldcorp merger), should either be sold and if so, would you purchase AEM? Any further thoughts on the precious metals exposure would be appreciated.

Q: I have ample gold exposure--mining, bullion and FNV (stream). I am considering diversifying within adjacent sectors like silver and rare earths. I am considering selling FNV and buying something else (maybe something like WPM for the added silver exposure). What options would you look at for this move?

Q: Apparently the US military and govt are looking to invest some funds towards funding projects in Canada for rare minerals, in an effort to reduce the dependency on China for critical minerals.
Can you suggest any Canadian companies or an ETF that may benefit from this.

Q: Freehold is an oil & gas royalty streaming company. Was there not at one time a competitor to them? Can you name the other oil/gas streaming companies.
Also - the names of the gold/silver streamers - thank you.

Q: Hi, I need to harvest realized gain of approx. $15000. I plan to repurchase the above funds after 30 days. Are there any that you would not sell at this point?
Or after the 3rd quarter results?
Thank you for your excellent service.

Q: Good morning,
Thanks for your great service.
Today my question revolves around AU (gold) royalties and return of inflation - once the economy opens up & we start spending «en masse» our accumulated savings -.
I have read that royalties might be better than AU companies as they do not have the same cap ex as AU companies and they employ less human resources. I am assuming that they also have less debt on the balance sheet .
Questions:
Whether you prefer AU royalties vs AU etf or specific AU companies o even PHYS ?
Which royalty would you prefer ?
Would a precious metal royalty be a judicious addition to a portfolio ? Such as MMX, ALS, LIF ?
I am well diversified and have a substantial portfolio.
Deduct as many points as you see fit.
Best Regards,
Elaine

Q: I hold both WPM and MMX in my RRSP, and WPM is up 75% recently which has pushed Basic Material weighting too high. I was considering trimming WPM and reinvesting into Industrials sector or Energy to help increase their weighting in portfolio.

Do you see continued strong upside on WPM ?
What would you recommend for Growth industrial or Energy companies at this time?

Q: Hi team,
I currently have holdings in the above companies and ETFs, and with the exception of MAG I am up between 12-90% on all of these. I am thinking that I should take some profits to reduce my exposure in the gold and silver sector.
Are there any of these that you would recommend getting out of, or would I be better to pare down my holding in each to get back to an acceptable percentage of my portfolio?
Also, if I was to hold some of these longer term, say 1-3years, can you please rank them in order of which you would recommend holding for that length of time.
thanks as always,
Paula
