Q: What is you opinion on this stock for the long term. It is up 50 per cent in the last couple of months. Would you consider it a buy at these levels due to it carbon recapture technology or should profits be taken now. Thanks for your expert advice.
Q: I am up 104% on TOU and the stock now represents 28% of my portfolio. I know it is time to trim, but would like your opinion on how much to sell and where I might reallocate the money for growth (non-sector specific).
Q: Your response regarding the Van Eck Vectors MOAT ETF caught my attention. I went to the Van Eck website and found it to be sparse, I could not any further information on their ETFs. Can you provide insight into the company and their various ETFs?
Thank you.
Q: Can you comment on EGLX marketed public offering. Why would they choose this method of raising cash and at what price do you think they will sell the shares at? How is their financial position? Are they burning a lot of cash? Thanks
Q: What is your gut feel that will happen if cn wins the takeover and cp is left at the alter
Disappointment and stock takes a hit
Happiness, no in debt and share count and stock goes up
Am I reading NWC's earnings report properly? I see earnings were 80 cents per share and consensus eps was 57 cents. I also see consensus for 2022 is $2.40 and $2.47 for 2023. Do you have the same numbers?
What did you think of NWC's Q1 numbers and what do you think of the stock as a long term hold?
Q: This question is about Capital Gains Tax. Over a 5 year period I ended up buying a single stock at different prices in 3 separate accounts...Cash, Tax Free and Rif. So when I sell I am not sure what buying price to use. For example if I sold the stock in the cash account do I use the purchase price in that account or must I use an average of the 3 accounts. I guess the purchase price does not matter in the case of the Tax Free or Rif? Thanks for your clarification!
Q: Hi,
I own DND and its trading at around $48,69. The offer to go private is at $50,50. Here is my thinking, Why would I sell at the current price if the worst case scenario is the buyout at $50.50? The other option is that there can be a higher bid, or this whole thing of going private just falls apart, which might stall the share price, temporarily. Not to confuse myself nor you, I am thinking if the best case scenario is just to hold my shares because if they were not intending to go private, I would have had a 5+ year time horizon anyway. Would you agree with my thought process?
Thanks,
Q: I have some cash to invest in my TFSA. Have held PKI.CA for 3 years. Collected dividends and now breaking even on share price. I am thinking of cashing out and buying ATZ as a faster recovery play. What do you think of this switch? What is a good entry point for ATZ since it jumped yesterday and today?
Thanks for all of your wise guidance over the years.
