Q: Could you please comment on the business combination of Advent Technologies Inc and AMCI Acquisition Corp. It looks like a SPAC deal in the fuel cell and hydrogen technology sector.

Thank you

Q: Hello 5i. Could you advise if there are US and/or international tax implications for Canadian residents from owning a well-diversified international ETF such as XEQT or VEQT, in a non-registered Canadian account? For example, roughly 47% of XEQT is made up from, in part, an ETF that's traded on the NYSE: ITOT.

Thanks as always for your help and advice.

Q: Eddy Elfenbein of Crossing Wall Street fame has added Miller Industries to his portfolio this year. I know Eddy spends a lot of time analyzing companies ahead of bringing them into his portfolio and he is giving Miller a glowing recommendation. I wonder what your take is of Miller as an addition to a growth TFSA portfolio?

Q: Appreciate your best advice regarding selling half of my large position of Visa and purchasing Walgreen's in my cash account. Anticipating Walgreen's will be very involved in providing vaccinations. Or better to stay with a large concentration of Visa with the economic recovery (hopefully) in USA. What is Walgreen's dividend? Thanks for your valuable input/advice as always.

Q: Hi team,
What are the underlying reasons for gold to be so volatile lately? Would the money flow going into bitcoin one reason? As for argonaut gold the Magino mine project going ahead late January combined with high gold prices in the last quarter could be a catalyst. Are you still positive long term on this company?
many thanks,
Jean

Q: Could you comment in general on this ETF please. It has not recovered in the same way other international ETF's have and yet prior to March it seems like it's been pretty stable for the last 5 years, declining somewhat in 2018. I bought a bit a few months ago and am thinking of purchasing more. Do you feel it has upside potential in the recovery and do you feel it's a buy, sell or hold at current levels? Do you think the dividend is fairly safe?
Thanks so much, your input in invaluable!

Q: Please compare JCI and TT and state your preference if you have.
I would like a similar comparison for CSIQ and FSLR.
Deduct the appropriate number of questions.
Thanks for this help and the other information you have provided over the years.

Q: For international (non-NA) exposure, please provide your current opinion about the IGRO ETF. Would you recommend this ETF? Do you see it as a complement holding for dividend-growing (but not high dividend seeking) investors who already own VIGI? Are there any other international ETFs which you would recommend in lieu of IGRO?

Many thanks for your excellent advice, and this wonderful service.

Q: As always, thank you for the great service. In the past few days, there’s been a lot of articles about UK companies being very cheap. I know 5i covers North American stocks, but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the matter and also more specifically about LLoyds (bank). Any ETF for UK exposure?
Thank you.

Q: Good Day,

My fiancé has recently begun investing. Currently she has:
254 shares of VBAL
16 shares in Royal Bank
27 shares of BCE

She has $1300 available to invest in her TFSA and $500.00 to invest in her RRSP. She is a conservative investor.

We are wondering:
What would you suggest for next steps in terms of shares/etf to purchase in this small portfolio? Or should we just buy more VBAL?

In addition, would it be best to wait a little to see if there is a ‘better deal’ in a few months?

Please take as many of my questions as you see fit.

Regards,

Ryan
