Q: Hello
Can you please tell me whether the above noted ETFs are included as part of the $ 100,000 limit imposed by the CRA for reporting foreign assets?
Thank you
Q: I am holding BEP.UN and now BEPC also.
Will the BEPC dividend continue to be in U.S. $ ?
If the dividend on BEPC will be $0.4340 per share, payable Sept. 30 and the previous dividend on BEP.UN was $0.5425 on June 30, I would expect the future dividend on BEP.UN to drop, like the share price approx 25%, correct?
If so this seems to represent an overall dividend increase of about 6% in terms of total holdings, right?
Q: I bought BPY:us on a NY Exchange and hold in US$ within an RSP. I also hold BPY.un in C$ withinin a Canadian TFSA. I have substantial losses on both. These losses cannot be offset against capital gains.
BPY (US) and BPY.un have both sent me a cash offer for shares . The issuer offers US$12 or the equivalent in Canadian $. There is no mention of what, if any, accrued dividend would be paid to shareholders/ unitholders.
What would you do on the above-noted offer. Tender shares on one of the accounts , tender both, or neither ?
Q: Not a question but further to your comments on Loblaw's recent results, they were viewed favourably within the investment community as CIBC raised their target to $85.00 while RBC bumped their target from $90.00 to $105.00.
Q: With the price of some of the stocks at extremely high valuations, when do you decide to sell or do you just keeping on trimming back once stocks gets to 10% of portfolio
Q: BNS is the only large canadian bank in the 5i income and balance portfolio, if you need to buy a bank now (long term holding) , would still buy BNS ? or would prefer another canadian bank at this point in time. If so why ?.
Q: Hi, I have owned ONEX for about a year and down 18%. I would like to own a private equity co. ONEX's purchase of Westjet was bad timing and the airlines will continue to struggle going forward for some time I think. In a recent question about ONEX, you said ONEX has lost money and revenues have not changed for the last 8 years, so just curious, what drove its stock up from $35 to $100 between 2013-2018?? Would you continue to hold? I'm thinking of selling ONEX and switching into KKR or BX?? Or possibly buy more BAM? In this low rate environment, PE should benefit right? Looking for long term growth in my LIRA. Thanks!
